Borrow $10 from someone now, and pay them back $12 when you have the cash! That's cheaper than waiting and spending $15 later, and I'd lend at that interest, given today's investment options!

Anyone else find it funny that all of these great BOOK references brought up fond memories of CARTOONS? I lament the TV-alization of our generation(s)

An no offense to Jamie... I am a video game baby and was thinking Pitfall (Tarzan and turtle)and King's Quest (Robin Hood) before I looked closer.

Someone mentioned that it was Tom Sawyer, although I am leaning more towards Huck Finn. That is the whitewashed fence Tom tricked others into painting, but I don't remember if Huck was there or not.

EDIT: Has to be Tom Sawyer. He would be the one sleeping under the tree whilst the others painted the fence.

I agree. Work of fiction. But I'm still buying this AND the Noah's Ark vs. Giant Squid one (if it gets printed ... please please please)! That's just how this atheist rolls!

I don't think whether you are a believer or not should have anything to do with appreciating the fact that stories like Noah's Ark and the Fall of Man are important, influential works of literature. If you ask me, everyone should be Bible literate.

For one thing (and speaking as a recent college graduate here), try passing a class on Western art history, or a class on Shakespeare without understanding the Bible stories that influenced them. Or try understanding Star Trek II without knowing something about Paradise Lost, Moby D*ck, and the Bible stories they were both based on.

(woot filter changes D*ck to "homeskillet" in case you were wondering)

I agree they're useful to know. My English teacher at school gave us the exact same advice. No matter what religion you are, (or not, as the case may be), it can be helpful to know the Bible stories. So much of Western culture is based on them.

Experience has shown me she was right. And I think knowing Greek/Roman mythology is equally helpful.

I can say that I ran outta colors, but I used browns so I could have done something like Uncle Toms Cabin but I honestly forgot I was scrambling to come up with a color pallete and stories I thought people would recognize. I didn't sub this until Sunday afternoon so I didn't even think it'd have a chance, I just wanted to get it up because I liked it. There's lots I'd like to change or correct now that I've had time to look at it but alas deadlines can make you miss stuff.

If it makes you feel any better Adam and Eve wouldn't have been white, They'd have darker skin like the middle eastern people who live in the region today. Adam would've had a beard too, (I don't think they'd invented razors yet) but then Eve probably would've had hairy armpits too and no one wanted to have that on their chests (I don't think at least). I'm gonna say I used Michaelangelos reference of Adam for them, sans beard and body hair

Love it, love it, love it. This is my first shirt.woot! purchase, and I'll wear it proudly. I still plan on adding Nevermore and Villainous Victorian Velociraptor to my closet.

I wonder if it would be inappropriate to wear this to my school's Family Reading Night? I'm a prek teacher, and not sure everyone would be ok with the naked peeps, even if they are from a very popular book. :-)

If we're going to try to be historically accurate then we might as well go all the way. All humans are descended from hominids that evolved in Africa about two million years ago. They were furry.
