I am just learning Adobe Illustrator & PhotoShop, so everything takes me a long time. I am totally in awe of the folks like you who submit such beautiful designs every week.
Eye4spot, I just made the sound pphhhhllltttt!! Because your comment was so nice, and so unexpected. I love your work and would you be surprised to know that I never touched a computer until my 1st woot derby last December? I was taught by little old nuns in highschool who during computer class we just sat there and looked at the computer which wasn't even turned on! In college my focus was on illustration and computers weren't introduced to us there either...so last december my brother in law handed me a printout , it was a derby contest called shirt.woot. I said to my husband who is a computer genius, I want to learn illustrator. "Finally!" he said!
Now I won't get off the thing!! But I am so glad to participate and to hang out with you and others who are enjoying this process, and I really love your design this week it is most excellent, it makes me long for a year of summers, for although I go by Snowqueen, I am a summer person inside and out.
I would totally love to have your shirt! Also, I am very partial to your shirt because of the emphasis you placed on Africa, possibly the most desperate place on Earth, thanks for this beautiful on so many levels design .
One last thing, you have a way of giving positive feedback to others too, and You may not know what a help that is, but I want to thankyou as well because we all try our best to do our best and only 3 people actually win the derby, but everyone who participates and receives and gives feedback wins in a different way, we grow as artists and make connections and learn from each other , so many things. You know what I mean. So thank you right back at'cha!!
Talk to you later-snowqueenvt
