they most definitely are halftones. i think the shade of the green on the grass shirt is making it blend alot better but it's most definitely halftones.

glad ya'll like it!

I had to Google it to make sure, but you're right - Pan is a faun, as well. Incidentally, the Greek counterpart to the Roman god Faunus.

Yes, I much prefer your other design for that exact reason. But I still have to give props to your color design and halftone skillz!

Thank you, all!
This was one of the most enjoyable designs I've come up with for Woot. I'm happy just to have created it, not matter how well it might do. ^_^

Your sense of color is something I'm always impressed by, Jas!
I always love a limited color palette, and the blues in this design are just amazing.
Good luck to you this derby!

Love the shapes of your tree's roots and branches, it's very thronelike while still being natural. Excellent.

Re: Green Planet

I love the shadowbox style of this design. Also, I do like the white - it gives a much better impression of being a planet from a distance, which is a strength in a shirt design, and adds to it becoming more involved and interesting the closer to get.

Re: Go Green

This is really brilliant.
It has so many small details and concepts rolled into it.
The only thing I might suggest is the "green" earth being a little more green. It looks rather yellow to me right now, but I would also be the first to admit that that might just be due to my monitor.
Good luck!

This is a re-sub from a past derby, with a new design size/placement and a different shirt color - it fit the theme so well I had to give it a shot!

Let's stop melting ice caps. Polar bears hold grudges.

Re: Earth: Basically... Land

I realize the images are pretty small, but i don't know how to post additional details in the comments area here like some people do.

Hopefully some people will get the pop culture reference I'm making. The Letter that the dolphin and whales at top resemble should give a hint... if the five images aren't already obvious enough.

Hey they're all on earth right?

Re: Pure Air, Crystal Water

@Lagbert, I'll test it out on blue. I designed it to have a calm, foresty palette though and the blue shirt is quite saturated. Thanks buddy!

@BootsBoots: awesome thank you!

@jasneko: thanks jas'! I felt like the concept naturally lent itself to this layout. Glad you like it! ^_^

Re: You'll watch out for us, won't you?

Gorgeous details in this.
I wish I could get behind the stylized shape of the seal - something about it's head to body-size ratio is throwing me off. But I do understand that's a stylistic choice, so I'll leave it as a personal nitpick.
Good luck!

Really great! I love the greens and the slight 3D effect you created. Really nice. (It's also funny how Blue Planet and Green Planet are side by side in the hotness;)

Well its supposed to be a fade out (yellowish) retro green, but green (red=stop, green=go), sorry if you see it yellow, might be an issue of different screens indeed,
thanks guys,
