and what historical event is portrayed on the shirt? looks more like the wearer's belly is thinking of red and blue clouds.

This was one of three ideas I planned on working on...I am glad I dropped this one since this is better than I could have done. GMV

Great and funny as usual. I really like when you draw these abstract sort of characters.

This is awesome! I would fully buy one if it were just the middle panel. I don't think it needs the top or bottom. Its clear with out them. Great job!

Nice! ^__^

Thanks! I started competing here to force myself to use Illustrator more and really learn how to use it. Besides, I hadn't really done real drawing of any kind in about 15 years.

Now it's kind of become a little addiction. But I can quit at any time. Really.

The textured birds and apples (with lighting and shadows) seem kind of weird on top of the plain green tree. I feel they don't mesh very well.

Re: Ocean(Titan)ic 815

I like the reference, but I don't like how the design stops squarely at the top. I feel there should be more to the statue, or at least a better (less boxy) way for it to be placed.

theWanker wrote:Well, as a hardcore Lost fan I love it. But it's also technically incorrect. The statue had already been knocked over by a ship a good 100 years or so before the Titanic sank (remember how Richard's boat crashed into it?)

I suddenly feel like Comic Book Guy.

Ha ha ha ha. I never claimed it was canon. oh but wait... maybe this is a sideways reality? There, nuff said. Thanks for the support!

I think is too generic to represent the actual historical fact. The Zeppelin Hindenburg was a rigid old fashioned hydrogen dirigible. This is just a Superbowl blimp.
And the Wright brothers....IDK
I think you can do better than that. Actually, you still can. Just my humble opinion.

Yeah I agree about that. The top and bottom feel tacked on and IMO kind of make it off topic. Would love to see it without those.

Did you sub this at Threadless or somewhere? This seems very familiar for some reason, like I scored it there or something.

You cannot get simpler and greater than this.
Even though isn't the interpretation of any historical fact. I'd buy it and won't be bothered if it doesn't get rejected because of the off topic thing

I'm going to be a bit of a jerk here:

This should be rejected

Incidental text only... But no dialogue or signs.

BootBoots you better than this. Make the design work without signage.

As a side note: The Hindenburg went down in 1937 and the Wrights first flew in 1903. I highly doubt there would be any animosity between the wrights and the zeppelin liner.

Definitely an idea that could be popular, I wish the edges weren't so hard though. I know Taweret's statue is huge, but it would've looked better with the head too.

AcorNayho wrote:Ha ha ha ha. I never claimed it was canon. oh but wait... maybe this is a sideways reality? There, nuff said. Thanks for the support!

I had not considered that. There indeed could be an alternate reality that happened because in one universe the ship explodes when it hits the statue, and the statue inexplicably remains unscathed.

I find your version both believable and worthy.

(I wrote everything above with Comic Book Guy telling me what to say in my head.)

Re: Kitty Hawk 4 Eva

I don't know Boots, those patches on thier backs look an awful lot like signs, which woot said don't do. The thing is that if these elements weren't labled you'd think these guys were just terrorists blowing up a modern blimp. I know you can do better Boots, this looks rushed, remake it with the wright brother in period costume with their airplne next to them, make the Hendenberg(sp) look more like the original and get rid of the labels and I think it'd be great.
