I haven't bought a shirt.woot shirt, but if this makes it it might be my first. I'm not sure it really fits the theme, but the woot staffers do, so that is good enough for me.

i hope it wins too, it's by far the best design i've seen on this site so far, I can't decide if this would look better as a chest piece or a back piece though, what do you think?

Part of the problem also being that I didn't submit it until late Sunday morning, while other designs had been stacking up votes since noon on Friday.

I really do wish there were more of a lag between the announcing of the theme and the display/voting on submissions. Like, people could start submitting on Friday at noon, but that nothing would be enabled for voting until Monday maybe? I think we'd end up with more high-quality designs that stood an equal chance of printing. Designs could still be displayed for viewing as soon as they were posted, so Woot wouldn't lose any ad revenue from people stopping in to look at the designs. It'd even give people a good chance for feedback on designs and a chance to resubmit with changes made without starting their vote total over from scratch.

Anyway...(steps off soapbox).

Even if it doesn't fit in how some are interrupting the derby theme, I think you should have this printed somewhere because I would buy it. Something about it makes me laugh and reminds me of some very old times.

I hate fish tacos. Granted, I've only ever eaten one (and I was preggers and absolutely nothing was agreeing with me) while I lived in San Diego- but it's a pretty strong dislike.
However, yet again I find myself in desperate need of one of your shirts. I have no idea how you do it, but pretty much every derby you put out a design that I can't help but love. They tend to be quirky, have wonderful colours and marvelously interesting characters.
After woot misstepped terribly and didn't print your last Taco shirt, I've been avoiding the derby. My superstitious side is absolutely positive that I'm somehow giving your designs the kiss of death.
I'm only posting here now to ask you to PLEASE let me know if you take ANY of your designs elsewhere.
Love the shirt, as usual. You not getting printed wouldn't bother me nearly as much if you were awful. Or even just not wonderful.

I'd like to get Take a Taco for a Walko printed somewhere. The 2 questions I have, are am I free to take it elsewhere now that the double take is over, or is the hold extended once you enter it there? Also, where would be a good place to try to get it printed? I'm not too familiar with all of the other shirt sites and where it would have the best chance.

I'm a Lost fan too, all, but what does this design have to do with psychedelia? There'd be no point to themes if this printed in this derby. This is a derby for psychedelic designs, not Lost.

Want. I hope this wins so much. It's been so long since I've seen a design that I not only like but want to wear.

Except the theme isn't psychedelic. It's psychedelia, i.e.: the art that surrounded the psychedelic times of which examples were listed in the theme. A theme which this shirt does not even come close to fitting.

The term psychedelic is derived from the Greek words ψυχή (psyche, "soul") and δηλείν (delein, "to manifest"), translating to "mind-manifesting". A psychedelic experience is characterized by the perception of aspects of one's mind previously unknown, or by the creative exuberance of the mind liberated from its ostensibly ordinary fetters. Psychedelic states are an array of experiences elicited by various techniques, including sensory stimulation, sensory deprivation as well as by psychedelic substances. Such experiences include hallucinations, changes of perception, synesthesia, altered states of awareness, mystical states, and occasionally states resembling psychosis.

Did the design as a stream of consciousness representation of mind trip, which in my opinion, Lost was, especially in the end. Sorry for those who feel like there's not enough shrooms or cliché swirls in it. I find it funny that my "off topic" design is doing so much better than all my "on topic" previous ones. Oh well, I'm proud of my work.

I appreciate that so many have been so supportive on this one. For a graphic designer/stay-at-home dad who got laid off a year ago this week, and is still looking for a full time job it's meant a lot.
