Re: The Tragic Story of Romeouse and Julirat
Great "love story" shirt. And you don't even need the Romeo and Juliet context for it to make sense.
truffleshuffle wrote:Yeah, I figured I was sort of becoming a one-trick pony there for a while so I thought I'd give the monsters a break, haha.
That's not a monster? It's a pretty creepy character. Actually all of your characters seem to weird me out.
Re: Sweet Puck
Yeah, I have to say - I love the drawing, but desaturating the color scheme would probably help a lot. This looks like it belongs on a velvet blacklight poster, right now.
Re: Dogs of War
Oooo, Damn! They both look like they're relatives of the World's Ugliest Dog from a ew years back.
Yes in the span of 5 minutes it moved up two place!
Spiritgreen wrote:The unsub is thought to be a white male, in his mid thirties to early forties, responsible for a string of brtual slayings. The media are already calling him "The Tragedy Killer". (Great design! ^_^)
Hrm... Shakespeare mug shot would have been a good idea. perhaps if Woot does another "second chance" derby I'll give that a go.
Drakxxx wrote:Very Froudian. ;) Nice work as always!
I read this first as "Freudian" and my knee jerk reaction was "Crap, I've spelled something very inappropriately wrong!" haha. BUT on second glance, I'm very flattered. Brian Froud is amazing! Thank you

I don't know if I should take this as a compliment...but I will!! I really appreciate an aesthetic in which the viewer is torn between finding something beautiful or endearing and finding it really disturbing, haha. As a result, I like willowy women with hidden faces and long, lithe limbs (alliteration *BAM*). The elongation thing probably started when I first saw Lori Earley's art...which i looooooove. Everyone should check it out! Thanks to everyone else for their feedback and compliments as well! Seems in the end like the majority ruling is approval of my text so Hooray!!
Re: The Globe
Amarillo, please use standard-sized thumbnails (240x240) if you can. It makes it much easier for me to include you in the Best Loser Awards. Thanks!

fixed shirt background. Ducdame: a Greek incantation to...draw fools to a t-shirt from As you like it (mostly)
So sad this is in the fog! It's great, and vaguely reminiscent of the Gashlycrumb Tinies.. Edward Gorey for the win!
amazing!
Spiritgreen wrote:::raises hand:: I'd like to see that!
::waves hand:: Me too! And very amusing shirt Tjost! And looks great on cranberry.

Is this comment a victim of Woot's word-replacement technology, or does it shift gears in the middle and become suddenly positive? Either way...thanks...I think
Re: Read The Whole Book!
Ok, I *thought* I had commented on this design, but apparently it was just in my head @_@ I didn't really use cliff notes in high school but everyone around me always had them ... I borrowed someone's once because I wasn't that into a book (it wasn't shakespeare, some war-related book)... I regretted it, because I didn't do so well in that test! I think the teachers particularly hated cliffnotes, so I have a feeling they might have purposely picked quiz questions not found in them;) Very amusing idea and well done Spiritgreen!!
thatrobert wrote: Congratulations on winning a Best Loser Award! This is not SPAM. Winning a BLA does NOT mean this shirt won't print -- I'm hoping it does. Your one and only gift is this crappy little badge in your shirt thread. Enjoy. No, you can't pretend that forever will never come knocking at your door.
Yeah! Thank you Robert! I love that 'crappy little badge'
This shows some nice talent. Keep up the great work!

A true hell-hound if there ever was one ;-]

Excellent! Please do! I think it has a pretty good chance of getting an honorable mention, at least
Re: Dominoes
I really like Shakespeare's mustache on this! He's a sly one, that old bard.
Here's a couple I've worked on recently. The beach cleanup one is the one that delayed this shirt from being up sooner. I do lots of simulated process printing type designs and seps on both light and dark tees. These are all 6-7 colors. Hope you like them
Re: King of infinite space
you do not disappoint!!
Re: Taming of the Shrew
Come on man. If you're going to steal art, at least take it from the source and not the 100x100 forum thumbnails hahaha. I've seen a lot of bad and obvious thefts before, but this is the absolute BEST! http://shirt.woot.com/derby/entry.aspx?id=25218
Re: Exit: Pursued By Bear.
Honestly, the text kind of kills this one for me. It'd be funnier without it.
Re: Let Slip the Emoticons of War
Want want want want I mean... "But soft! What shirt through yonder woot breaks?"
Ah this is neat. I really like that you've covered so many of his players and the style on these guys is really appealing to me. Good job. I sort of wish it was on a different color shirt but that's more a minor quibble with light AA blanks showing my bra off then your design. =[ Good Luck! GMV!
Re: Allicholy Road
Woot has banned shirts like this in the past. Guess they are becoming nicer
I still love these shirts, and they are much better than the Scottish Ballet. If you put them up on mysoti or a similar site, let me know, my husband and I each want a set!
It seems like Mirth is going to take some time to reload that bow. This is a cute concept and the execution is awesome!
I really really like the color work on this image. And the ripples in the pool of water is very nice.
Re: Tempest's Caliban
I wish that I could vote for this more than I already have. Alas, I have but one account...
My favorite is the dj'n weird sisters.
Re: Midsummer Mischief
Sad day that this isn't in the fog.
Spiritgreen wrote:If Shakespeare were alive today... This is six colors on a cream shirt. Here's a detail: The text is mainly there for decorative purposes but it does tie into the design, it's "All that glisters is not gold" repeating over and over. Man, he really hates Cliffs Notes. You can view a BIG version here. Thanks so much for looking. Please vote if you like this design! ^__^ ---Spiritgreen
I hate to be THAT guy, but CliffsNotes and the yellow/black design is copyrighted..... http://www.cliffsnotes.com/cliffsnotes-terms-of-use.html Scroll down to proprietary rights for details. I'm actually very surprised this hasn't been rejected yet.... :/ This is all, of course, assuming you didn't acquire express written permission to use the logo and the name.
