It was bound to happen eventually.

Also, as I said on the other shirt's thread, this idea has been used before.

I hate to be the one to do this, but there are similar shirts available.

Thank you. I have never seen these before. Great minds think alike. Looks like the Scottish Ballet and I have great minds. Our shirt designs, however, are different. Thanks for the interest in my shirts

this shirt is not that great compared to the caliber of the other artists...and it looks unfinished.

kylemittskus wrote:There is a typo in your shirt, unfortunately. "During the English Renaissance, a 'Moor' was a term used to refer to dark-skinned people in general." The article "a" before "Moor" denotes singularity, but you follow it with a plural, "people." Either remove "a" or say "a dark-skinned person." Without that change, I cannot, as a good literature major, support this shirt.

Also, if I recall, it should be "Moop". ;)

Re: Bill's Contemplation

I'd like the Shakespeare one alone. The three others are redundant.

Nice work on the art and colors!

Re: Then fall, Caesar! Resub

It does seem like it needs the et tu brute though, maybe in a more "shakespearean" font?

MadamAtom wrote:That red seems a lot brighter than this one. On the other hand, if this red is too bright, the background words will start to drown out the foreground words, I think.

I like the other colors, but I prefer it with the new text. Guess I'll just have to vote for both.

I'd love to get one just as you like it. Then again, unless I get to print, this is much ado about nothing. Maybe I can get a merchant in Venice (CA) to silk screen one for you. Othello.

oh thats a shame. i would have loved to get it for my sister, who was weirdly obsessed w/ the macbeth witches as a child. but "blaspheming jew liver".... no one wants to wear that on a shirt. seriously. i understand it is a direct quote, but why would you wanna highlight it?

Re: Know your bard.

+1. The mistakes make me sad, but if this won, I'd probably buy it anyway and paint over the mistakes with black fabric paint just so I could have the shirt. Or, even better, you could do a resub with the mistakes fixed.

Not necessarily. "Sceptical" is the spelling I use on this (Shakespearean) side of the Atlantic, and the Oxford dictionary gives both spellings.

Azurett wrote:Sorry, but I don't get the whole bright red light thing.. I, too, am bored/tired of the gray shirts..

I agree about the asphalt shirts, but it's the only color that worked with what I wanted to do.

About the red lighting, there's nothing to really "get" about it. It's just something that I've been playing with lately. Here's another greyscale design with colored lighting that I did recently.

Hamlet would have to be the one in black, right? I'm trying to remember a production of Hamlet I've seen in which he's NOT the one in black...

I like the quotes and the date but i wish one of them was more masculine. i love the concepts and would like one with maybe two shades of blue

Re: Team Montague

I wish the colors were different. I think the brown, pink, and blue is kinda blah. But I'd be tempted to get the Team Montague if only for the quote.
Years ago I was in a Production of the Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged) and in the Romeo and Juliet spoof she (it was actually a he) calls him "Butt Love" in response to that line. It takes me back..
