Re: The Physical Impossibility of Death...

Full title: "The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living" by Damien Hirst

The concept of death is incomprehensible to the living, especially if you're a bad ass shark driving a tank! ^_^ This design reinterprets both the meaning and the content of Hirst's art installation piece, a tiger shark preserved in a tank of formaldehyde and water. It is the most expensive piece of art ever sold by a living artist.

If you don't want to explain all of that, you could just call it your Jaws 5 shirt. :-p

Here's a detail:

This shirt is six colors on baby blue. You can see a BIG VERSION here. Thanks for looking! Please vote if you like this design.

Re: The Burning Giraffe

This is inspired by the title "The Burning Giraffe" by S. Dali. He used the image of a giraffe on fire twice in his works.

This is quite beautiful, Deadfrog. I really, really like your take on it. The artwork has a rather dreamy and mystical quality to it and it fits very well. GMV!

Re: The Physical Impossibility of Death...

Nice use of halftones and distressing. I have mixed feelings about the word bubble. I really like courier but it just doesn't seem the right face for a command being shouted by a shark.

IMHO I think you should ditch the word bubble all together - the design is strong without it and it lets people imagine their own shark catch phrases like - Crush the air breathers!

Still GMV

Re: Autumn Rhythm by Jackson Pollock

This is based of the title of Jackson Pollock's 1950 work entitled "Autumn Rhythm." The musical measure created by the leaves is the first bar of the melody of Vivaldi's Autumn from the four seasons.

My first entry in quite a while. I tried to take my color cues from the original artwork by Édouard Manet.

Enjoy.

Thanks, I had a lot of fun creating this. I wanted it to feel like the dawn after a long night spent in battle. (Yes, I know that sounds a little over-dramatic.)
