Re: The Physical Impossibility of Death...
Full title: "The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living" by Damien Hirst The concept of death is incomprehensible to the living, especially if you're a bad ass shark driving a tank! ^_^ This design reinterprets both the meaning and the content of Hirst's art installation piece, a tiger shark preserved in a tank of formaldehyde and water. It is the most expensive piece of art ever sold by a living artist. If you don't want to explain all of that, you could just call it your Jaws 5 shirt. :-p Here's a detail: This shirt is six colors on baby blue. You can see a BIG VERSION here. Thanks for looking! Please vote if you like this design. ---Spiritgreen
Re: The Thinker
Loading… Loading... Five colors, I hope you like it! Some detail:
Re: The Burning Giraffe
This is inspired by the title "The Burning Giraffe" by S. Dali. He used the image of a giraffe on fire twice in his works.
Re: The Boxer
...Therefore, "The Boxer" is a Famous ART Title!
Terrifying in a good way. :D
Re: We Can Do It! (Rosie the Riveter)
6 colors on Baby Blue. Enjoy! -Ast
Re: Winged Victory
This is quite beautiful, Deadfrog. I really, really like your take on it. The artwork has a rather dreamy and mystical quality to it and it fits very well. GMV!
Re: Inspired by The Golden Rule by Norman Rockwell
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Mr. Bunny did not get the message. Naughty Mr. Bunny.
Brancusi's Bird in Space. For those who haven't seen this beauty:
This is perfection. Will vote. Will buy! Rightnow!! I love this so much, Walmazan!
Re: The Discovery of fire
This is a phoenix based on Magritte's painting. Phoenix and fire come in one package
Nice use of halftones and distressing. I have mixed feelings about the word bubble. I really like courier but it just doesn't seem the right face for a command being shouted by a shark. IMHO I think you should ditch the word bubble all together - the design is strong without it and it lets people imagine their own shark catch phrases like - Crush the air breathers! Still GMV
Re: andy warhol with cows
Just couldn't resist working with this title. http://www.moma.org/collection/browse_results.php?criteria=O%3AAD%3AE%3A28620&page_number=1&template_id=1&sort_order=1
Re: Autumn Rhythm by Jackson Pollock
This is based of the title of Jackson Pollock's 1950 work entitled "Autumn Rhythm." The musical measure created by the leaves is the first bar of the melody of Vivaldi's Autumn from the four seasons. Thanks for looking!

Re: Waterfall, by M.C. Escher
This one was fun to work on. Enjoy!
Re: Inspired by The Great Wave
Like that fancy museum tag says, this is 3 colors on baby blue. I really like the way this design fits on the shirt- I hope you do, too. And that you vote for it.
Re: Le Déjeuner Sur L'Herbe
My first entry in quite a while. I tried to take my color cues from the original artwork by Édouard Manet. Enjoy.
Good choice on the txt.
Re: Michelangelo's David
This is my reinterpretation of OG Michelangelo's David interpreting TMNT Michelangelo's reinterpretation of OG Michelangelo's David. Daym that's deep! Like some levels deep of re/interpretation. Inception-style deep!!! lols David with nunchuks!!! Oh don't mess with him!

Thanks, I had a lot of fun creating this. I wanted it to feel like the dawn after a long night spent in battle. (Yes, I know that sounds a little over-dramatic.)
Re: The Persistence of Memory
A sea of nostalgia, an ocean of memories...
Re: Persistence of Memory
Not a fan of Dali? Well, it's also a pun on Solid State vs Flash memory.
Re: Sky and Water
Hey folks, this design is based on M.C. Escher's Sky and Water. Here's a design detail.
Gore-geous.
You know, I've never seen giraffe as being particularly fearsome in any way, but this is excellent. Wow, love the artwork.
Re: Ceiling of the Sistine Chapel
If you groaned, I demand your vote! (Or I shall do a worse pun next week.)
Giraffe-Dragon?
Yeah YEAH YEAH
Re: Flower Carrier
Very cool! If Pixar had done Walle with a steam punk theme, I bet he'd look something like this. GMV
love this
I love this!
I don't think it'll make it past the censors, but it's clever.
Hugely corny.
