Great shirt; beautiful art! I'm a big fan of Midsummer; this rendition is really tasteful. Good work!

No, seriously, did you just say that you should be able to just take someone else's artwork for your own enjoyment without compensating them? And that woot should facilitate your efforts in this matter?

Yeah, they'll get right on that one.

Yeah, I'm thinking he would like a link to the artist supplied design files so he can print up the shirts on his own. He could sell all the same shirts as woot for $9 but without the overhead of running a website or building a community! It's a great idea, except for the fact that it's a criminal enterprise.

Re: 3 guys walk into a bar

I'm a Civil Engineering student and it's just weird for an I-Beam to be referred to as a Bar. To me, the random floating beam that's supposed to represent a bar doesn't work for the joke.

I'm still surprised this didn't win the first time around.

I also like the simplicity of this one.
Something that keeps nagging at my brain, though, is that nebulous gray shadow behind the cat. There's a more defined shadow under the cat, but the fluffy one on the wall behind him doesn't match with the shape at all.
Just something my brain is having a hard time with.

You're being a little too critical. True, a bar would more likely be a cylinder, but that's not as easily recognizable as an I-beam is. With an I-beam, you realize that it some sort of elongated structural member and can then infer it is supposed to be a bar.

And obviously it isn't "randomly floating;" it's cantilevered to your chest.

I love the colors and simplicity. For a second when I first glanced at it, I thought it was distressed, which would be cool, but either way it's a winner in my book. If you do get it printed elsewhere, I'd love to know.

It's pretty frustrating that just because this shirt isn't something 'cute' that it's not up there, it's clearly one of the best shirts in this derby, and was in the Shakespeare derby as well. It completely captures the lines it's focused around

'Will all great Neptune's ocean wash this blood
Clean from my hand? No; this my hand will rather
The multitudinous seas incarnadine,
Making the green one red.'

The next derby should really exclude all these cute shirts. We've got an intricate, beautifully drawn image, with the same number of votes as a shark and a play on words.

I wouldn't change a thing. The colors are great, the shirt color's a very nice choice and the smaller placement is a nice touch as it's not too 'splashy'. GMV! If if prints here or elsewhere, I'd be in for at least one.

Amusingly enough, it may just be these particular catnip mice, as my mom was able to train at least one of her cats to do the same thing with the exact same brand of toy mouse. :P

My cat used to play fetch as a kitten, too (surprising how many cats will). That's play. When he brings you your slippers, then that's work ;)

(Actually, I read they are beginning to use cats as therapy animals for soldiers with PTSD, so I suppose it's not really fair to say cats don't work.)
