I see that both of you joined the same day this shirt was posted, and that you each have only 1 post and no Woots. Just out of curiosity, are you both actually the artist posing as someone else (twice) to secretly give yourself shockingly favorable reviews of your own shirt?

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

I worked really hard on this design, and I wouldn't want anything but an honest response to it. Although I wouldn't be surprised if my mother ginned up some of these (Im Joking).

I think the comments are because it was announced on the 800+ member strong Bigfoot Lunch Club Facebook Page and the ever popular Bigfoot Lunch Club Site

So, no Astroturf (fake grass roots) here!

Thank you Paige, the design is based on the Gigantopithecus theory of Bigfoot. Giganto is an ancestor to the Orangutan, maybe Bigfoot, and definitely Dr. Zaius!

Do you have a link to the cryptid that this represents? I don't get it :/

Edited to add: Unless it's a play on unicorn, in which case, sorry...that's not a cryptid, it's a mythological creature.

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

MMMMM!!! Nothing quite matches the delicious taste of grilled monster, the other-other white meat! Delivered fresh from Loch Ness straight to your table... but act fast! Supplies are extremely limited!

Here's to hoping that since numbers count as text, Roman numerals count as Latin text. Hey, it makes sense to me in my deranged way of thinking!

Six colors on red: brown, cream, white, black, gray, green.

Comments, and obviously votes are always appreciated, but seriously, comments. What am I doing right, what am I doing wrong. It's not like people around here are exactly shy.

i like it! and since family guy basically parodies everyone and everything i can probably say that seth macfarlane wouldn't mind either. FOX, however, in my personal experience, is very lock and key with their property. so it could go either way, but hey if it gets rejected, im still gonna show it around to people at work, they will get a kick out of it! they will like it even more if you do an american dad one next time, *wink* *wink* =)

Since cryptids are hard to find it reminded me of the popular seek and find books. So, I made this design in that style incorporating as many cryptids as possible.

Hi-Res, How many cryptids can you spot?

Woot almost always shrinks the design on the lady shirts so that images like this are mostly above the boob area. That is if you buy the woman's sizes, if you get the men's sizes the placement is pretty much on the chest.

I don't see anything 'pure fail' about this. It's a nice clean design and it hasn't been rejected. Nice first entry. You don't have to like it, but there is no need to call it harshing my mellow or pure fail (which, along with epic fail gets misused way too much).

even though the humanoid is an ape/australopithecus/whatever, this reminds me of the old turok: son of stone comics. in any event, i like it alot.

Re: Springheel Jack

I really like your design but I think it may be in danger of being rejected. I think the image must be at least 1 inch from all borders (or something along those lines), making your art as it is presented on the blank outside of the printable area. I'm no designer so I don't know the rules perfectly, but you may want to make sure it is in the printable area. Again, I really dig this design so I'm voting anyway. Good luck!

Sorry SOGJ but I think your definition is mistaken. All of the popular "boogie men" of today are the same boogie men of lore, just different names. The Old Testament refers to the unicorn frequently, yet we have never seen one. Does that mean tales of Yeti, Big Foot, Moth-man, and Nessy are not as true? I say the unicorn is relevant although I don't agree with the rainbow colors.

Lucky did a FamGuy ref once and it didn't seem to cause much of a fuss. I think as long as it's clearly parody it's in the safe zone.

EDITED TO ADD:
Derby #11: Cryptozoology
For some animal lovers, the astonishing variety of animal life isn't enough. No, they need to populate their personal biosphere with unicorns, yetis, chupacabras, Loch Ness monsters, Jersey devils, rocs, griffins, Carolina lizard men, and other apocryphal fauna, just to keep things interesting. And who are we to judge them? So in light of the many animal shirts we've sold in the past, we figured it was time to give the pseudo-animals their turn on the sabretoothed catwalk. Everybody get cryptozoological!
