Thank you so much, bass! Not just for the vote, but for your kind words. Coming from one of my favorite woot artists, that really means a lot, and I appreciate it.

Also voted for your guy on Threadless. Dayum I love that. I am hoping for you to print!

Great, simple design that really works well on a shirt. I love how you considered the 'canvas' here. Really hope this gets printed, I'd wear it everywhere! And for those saying that a giant squid isn't a cryptid, see Akkorokamui: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptids

The poor shipping barons really have a conundrum because that otter is too adorable to harm. They'll just have to sacrifice a few ships, I guess...

I like the lightning not being the main feature - it really shouldn't be, imo.

i didn't realize until after i had completed my drawing that toby had already submitted a design that was very similar in some elements (nessie silhouette, waves, royal blue shirt). i will let woot sort out what is acceptable. if it is too similar, my apologies to toby.

Not what I had in mind...but I do like it a bit more than the original colors. (I find I am liking woot "olive" better than I would've thought! LOL)

Will re-vote on this!

Re: Thunderbird Colab

A collaboration between DianaSprinkle and Drakxxx of a Thunderbird, which is a large sometimes lizard like bird sighted in North America.

Now with better spelling I hope. =/ Whooo, Thunderbird hood ornament!

Re: The Black Shuck

I keep coming back to look at this, it's so wonderful. My only critique, and it's not even enough to deter my love for it, is that you almost don't even need the little girl. Just the shuck and the environment are win. I love this, and being that I'm a werefanatic, this falls under my kink so bad. Want want want!

nurry wrote:You have 10-24 woots... Surely by now you know that 99% of the shirts sold here have the same exact design placement.

Placement of a design on the chest is not an issue for all designs - and I want to be quite clear that I love the art of this design - I just would never wear it myself because of the two prominent, basically round areas of light that would sit right on my chi-chis.

If the center two tree-trunks were off-center, or the entire design were taller so the two areas of light were more oval than round, then this design would work on a woman. But if you squint your eyes as though seeing it from a distance (on the 'shirt placement' view) I hope you can see what I mean. I just feel that I see too many designs here of two large round objects that will sit right on the boobs. As a high school teacher I can tell you it's very distracting to everyone when girls wear that sort of design to school!

I guess my real point is that I hope more artists would be more aware of this issue as they create their designs. That's all. No offense intended to any of the wonderful artists here.

Re: SAVE THE NAGAS!

I'm no expert at all, which is probably why I need an explanation. According to Wikipedia, the naga is a cryptozoological snake and these guys have fur, antlers and hooves. Which kind of removes them from the reptile family.

Lagbert wrote:Nicely executed, but I think your too close to LIMBO to escape the no video game clause.

Granted, this piece was partly inspired by Limbo, but there is no direct connection whatsoever. It is original, and if you viewed more of my artwork, you would know that it's all my style as well. The environment, the character, the lighting, and Will-O-Wisp are nowhere in the game (to my knowledge... I haven't completed the game yet, so there is still stuff to see).

If I didn't mention something in the pre-thread, then most probably wouldn't have noticed. They are drastically different. I hope your not searching for an excuses to give this piece the boot... sadface.
