Version 2! We appreciate all the compliments and suggestions, we hope you like the new version better! Please re-vote

This is our first Shirt Woot Derby and our second submission, redone. We hope you like our rainy day shirt design.

Cheers!

-Furesh Design

I think its quite sweet, I like your way of drawing foxes The lines are a little inconsistently rough in places, but otherwise a nice first submission. Good luck!

Re: Anything but boring

This is one of my favorite shirts artistically this week. The way the fading is done and the layout with the thick grass just looks really nice

There is nothing quite like a rain storm in the desert. This is a very unique shirt.

The shirt looks great, but the Monk inside of me can't help but feel bad for the books getting wet. Nevertheless, GMV.

  • Winning a BLA does NOT mean this shirt won't print -- I'm hoping it does.
  • Your one and only gift is this crappy little badge in your shirt thread. Enjoy.

Re: Brainstorming

A complicated thought executed in a simple and clear way. However it feels unfinished, possibly due to the black and white dominating the design. You had more colors to work with, maybe making the city a color (perhaps the purple of a distant object) instead of black would separate it from the earth/brain that imagined it.

Where was this said? Someone else posted the picture, and he merely said it was inspired by the movie. If that photo wasn't posted, do you think he would have put it up there and said, "Hey, look, this is where I copied the art from?" I don't think so.

As far as his interpretation of ethics, I think people here have made it pretty clear what they think of this use of someone else's IP.

Re: thunderpandastorm

I've learned that pandas are a lot more destructive than I thought they were. First we see one crushing a city... now this?
The world will never see it coming.

We should systematically destroy all pandas in the wild now while we have the chance. Although, I think we already have a pretty good start.

Thanks Randomlynx, about the square i really made the choice to keep it cause i wanted a kind of architectural feeling, but perhaps i should have fade it more, i don't know.I am still very happy and proud with this design though.

i would try to reduce the character in order to increase the distance betwween the kite and him, and get more perspective in the composition.
The white stripe at this place disturbs me i was asking what it was and as it is white we can see it a lot , and read it as an important sign in the design
Perhaps try another color scheme more ligthy, with yellow in it
Halftoning some parts of the kite and putting a shadow under the characer could help too.
hope this can help

Well now I'm just all kinds of put out. After all the advice, help, I see you have this up for voting at DBH, just resized for Woot. Sorry, read Woot's rules (and DBH's) - that's a no-no!

Thanks Robert! Always an honor to receive this award. And thanks Jmmbell1987 for the nomination and support.

And for the people that deeply wish to see this printed, I will try my hardest to get this out there. I will let you all know too; just keep an eye out for the small image to return in my sig in the future (unless someone can recommend a better way). I have to wait the 60 days though, so sadly it won't be anytime soon. Thanks again for all the support!

In the submission description, I blatantly stated the image was derived from Redemption.

Mmmmm. That's for Woot to decide now, I guess. I don't know what their take is on someone doing a series of comps that are similar. I guess we'll find out.
