Sorry, I don't see parody. I think the best and most honest thing you could do would be to take this down.

Even if you didn't know Watterson's stance on his intellectual property, you do now. Please remove this.

So for this week get all Paleolithic with your designs and show us what you would've come up with if you had been born into an age other than "internet."

um, this looks *exactly* like what you would have come up with using "the internet". Not at all in the style of Cave paintings, primitive sculptures, megaliths, rock art and pottery.

sorry Pat, NOT. ON. THEME.

After reading the quote Adder linked, I could never vote for this shirt. I like Calvin and Hobbes, not as much as my brother or other people here, but I do truly enjoy that comic strip. I have for years.

I can't vote on this out of respect for the creator/artist's wishes, though I do like it.

On another note: I just re-looked at the shirt. I am seriously laughing at how blatantly this is stolen. You took the characters and put them on a stone wall. I'm going to take Mickey Mouse and put him on a piece of metal. I haz futuristic parody now.

I Didn't even notice a stone wall. Perhaps I was too distracted by the fact that a shirt like this for just ten dollars would be "A Steal". Wait... I guess that such a "Hot" design should be in the fog. Wait... a little caveman redress would work in a "pinch"

I half agree. That one at least shows some sort of representation of "prehistoric art." This one doesn't even come close.

I really don't mind if you think both should get rejected, but they're pretty much the same thing. The end result of throwing the bodies on the wall are the cave paintings.

It's not a big deal when people call out someone on what they think of as "off theme" but it's unproductive to only call out the one person people don't like. Call out everyone or no one. Being a repeat offender is not a good enough reason to pick on just one artist.

Since I'm not the woot police, you can take on the shirt you linked. I tend to be more critical on the shirts that are more popular.

In a derby where the theme is terrible and most of the shirts seem off theme, one that at least depicts someone doing what the theme suggests > one that does nothing of the sort.

"Prehistoric Snacks"

Before we had convenient snack sized snacks, giant snacks roamed the earth, telling people to go to the lobby and running like hell when the spears came out. Sadly these majestic creatures are now extinct.
