Ironically, you're correct that if printed, the paint used to create little Test Tube would not require red. It would have been funny if the colors of the parents were reversed, cause then we'd all know...the beaker wasn't the father. Mmmwhahaha!

Yes, there are more steps, but this is the core procedure as taught to the 7th grade students in my school. I collaborated with a science teacher to focus on the main steps and simplify the process so it would make a wearable shirt. I hope you like the design anyway.

Thank you Edkat, you made me feel better about this design. I always want to do something with a little magesty to it, but this theme (Science plus me equals brick wall) combined with some downer comments from my someone in my family who said I am wasting my time here and should spend one hour a week max (Ha) on my designs, left me feeling really confused.

Hi Jesse. Thank you as always for your wonderful and insightful input. You are the queen of spotting a good thumbnail, in this case I immediately felt that the thumbnail promised more than the design delivered, so I knew that this was going no where.

I tried dressing this up in nighttime colors when I began coloring it, and maybe that would have helped, but the whole thing is very silly, my husband said, after looking at it, might as well go all unicorns and rainbows with the colors, so I did, which was fun cuz I do love me some pink and purple.

When I started here I had this thing in my head, old saying "The cream rises to the top." So when I look at the fog, I am seeing the cream of the crop so to speak.

Helps me to try harder, and I do admire the artists who have found their rhythm here, I just like everyone basically.

You don't really need the numbers...it just helps process the image faster which means that it might be more likely to get the vote.

When I saw it in the pre-derby thread I didn't even see the numbers at first, and I laughed pretty hard, but it took me maybe 2 seconds to "get it". It might hurt to not have numbers...but in the off chance that it does get rejected for the ellipses submit it without numbers.

This shirt is about Forming a Hypothesis: "I can totally kill a dragon in ONE hit Booya!" gathering data through rolling dice and collecting that data. Then testing that hypothesis - "One hit kill - Snoochie Bootchies!"

That good enough of a case?

Jeanerz, I love shark shirts! (Probably because I am so terrified of them, that they fascinate me!) Thank you for posting in your comments the theory behind your chart. Science is not my thing , I think I doodled my way through seventh and eighth grade , can't remember 9th and 10th so must have REALLY zoned out, then they gave up and let me take art all afternoon everyday for the last 2 years and that was sooooo much better!

My take on "The Scientific Method" is that of a rock band.
I'm glad you like the design even though you feel its not on theme.

Hey Boots', woot has said the exact same thing about copyright in the past and then clarified that they mean it in the most general sense. Don't lift art or IP and stick it on your shirt without parody. They make sure to remind us of that once in a while, it isn't a plea for "No more pop culture!".

That'd be like Donald Trump becoming a buddhist and giving up all wordly possessions. And who wants to see that?
