Re: Cello Crab
megsck wrote:this shirt calms me. make it bigger! =) +1 anyway.

Awww. Calming crab on the cello! And don't worry about the size - the print always comes out bigger than I expect anyway =)

kc6201 wrote:I think the cranberry totally clashes with the crab color, but otherwise I dig it. Are you going to submit your happy crab too?

I know it's sort of a weird color combo, but for some reason I liked it. Glad you dig it other than the clash.
Hmmm should I submit happy crab? Is that too many crabs? I wasn't going to but I might if people would like it... I'll have to figure out what should make him happy though...

kc6201 wrote:I like this, but I think I'd like it better on slate/asphalt. What exactly does it do with those razor blades?

Yeah peaople hate creme, but I went this way for the dingy stale feel which on a slate shirt wouldn't be the same.
as to the blades... with the creature being more symbolic than functional I would say they represent how a straight razor may be used to killing oneself.

Re: The Cancer

Lost a great-uncle to lung cancer last year.

Unfortunately, it didn't phase my younger sister, who still keeps up the habit. (I will never comprehend how people of my generation continue to START smoking, knowing everything we do about the dangers of it.)

GMV, and if this wins, little sister will definitely be receiving a woot bag in the mail over the coming weeks.

Re: Cubistic Cuckoo Bee

The brown just seemed to mute the line work too much. I know that the shirts are usually lighter than the shirt colors provided on the templates, but I really didn't want to risk it. Orange and blue are complimentary, so it seemed (as well as appeared) to be the best choice... but that just my opinion.

Also... just some random knowledge. The Cuckoo Bees are a crazy little critter. Heres a brief description from my computer's dictionary:

"A bee that lays its eggs in the nest of another species of bee, the young being raised and fed by the host. • Nomada and related genera (which parasitize solitary bees), and Psithyrus (which parasitize bumblebees), family Apidae."

Here is an image of the one I used for my reference.

You're the reigning queen of Woot imho, at least. Your pieces have a charm and quirkiness that somehow makes their often subversive humour palatable to the masses without offending or alienating your audience - a very rare gift indeed.

(Side-note, I wore your "sperm whales" design again yesterday. That tee never buttafuocos to make me smile knowingly to myself all day long.)

Lol, I forgot about the sperm whales. So cute! So dirty!

Sidenote: Woot filters "f-ail" to "Buttafuoco" now? Hah.
