Working on colors (but will still take suggestions on the rest of it too!)... if anyone has a preference, please say - between brown, baby blue, grass green, olive green. Thanks!

Updated layout:

I vote for the lime green. Love it

My "A-meme-rican Idol" idea will have to remain a thought unless someone else can artfully bring it to life...

Characters to include:

Rick Astley, flanked by Tay Zonday, the NumaNuma kid, and the Trolololo guy, singing together onstage...

Foreground of the shirt is a dark silhouette/shadow of wildly screaming fans, hands in the air, that sorta thing.

I had a similar idea, but alas I can't draw either...

And yes, that font is obviously Comic Sans. While not entirely a meme in and of itself, it should be, and it holds a special place in my heart since some good friends of mine are the ones that started the Ban Comic Sans movement.

Ok, it's official, I'm not going to complete and submit this. It just feel wrong to be going against my principals and use rehashed stuff like this.
I'll watch the derby, but not going to participate.

Great idea Boots. You'll probably have to take off the "Will it blend?" text as it's a registered trademark. But I don't think it needs it anyway - annoying memes in a blender sells itself.

You think? I wasn't sure about that. I used a different font and a different swirl, so I thought it might be ok. Maybe it looks too similar though. I'm not really sure how these things work...

I'm with you on this.

Everyone seems to forget that woot sells shirts for CHILDREN. In fact, kids shirts are so important to them that they include kids shirts as part of their statistics.

This is why overlooking the PG-13 rule is a REALLY bad idea.

...What woot is asking for in this derby is three memes mashed together. I HIGHLY doubt anyone is going to make a subtle and universal design out of this. It will be all about disposable, inattentive armadilloic internerd btard reference.

Great point, well made. Thank you for sharing! :D

I'm a fan of memes, love hearing about their origins, and am happy to laugh at the dumb jokes. I look forward to the submissions and hopefully someone clever can do /b/etter than a disposable shirt ;)

wow- at the risk of sounds incredibly crabby- I think someone should somehow manage to "mash-up" these memes in a giant landfill across the earth- cause quite honestly after looking at the list of "Top 35 Internet Memes of the Last 15 Years" they all seem like garbage....

I love looking at all the designs you guys come up with week after week, but Woot did nobody any favors this week.

Boots why not clear all text and just name it "will it ROCK" or something like that... this way you don't face a rejection and people will get the reference... that is unless you had a better title for it =)

otterific design btw =)

I want to make sure it's obvious to people who don't know the title. It's probably obvious anyway, like Travis said. I'll use the title as a back up plan. Thanks.

I feel it lost something with the new text. I think the old font style might work better or at least some other font/style to it. Maybe add some kind of swirl back in. That area just looks a little dull now (to me anyway). I do like the new less square shape and different buttons for that part though. Overall I really like it.
