Since my shirt is being brought up here (it's the rock katamari pictured in a post above) I think it might be appropriate to weigh in.
I wouldn't consider Ramy's design in any way related to mine- he could have definitely come up with it without seeing mine, since it's just a drawing of what happens in the game (albeit with a meme-specific tone). Mine was meant to directly parody the Prince, the main player character in Katamari. In the game he has a mallet-shaped head, so my parody was about creating a human character whose headphones mimic that shape (it also ties in with the musical quality of the game).
The problem I do see with this design is that it doesn't seem to be a parody of Katamari. The character actually does roll up objects into huge balls- and they're often themed (such as Cold Things or Food). The Prince rolling up memes may not literally happen in the game, but it isn't a stretch. Since the game itself doesn't appear to be parodied, I'm not sure it's Woot-legal.
With that being said, since the character is turned around and drawn roughly, Woot might give it a pass anyway. But parody-wise, I'm not seeing it in this entry.
