Woot should have checked more carefully, but what the hell are the artists doing submitting something they know they have no rights to? Know what a much easier fix than woot be ever vigilant and running things through 8 layers of security is?

People submitting wholly original work.

Just to be clear, I never said it wasn't the Artists fault. But, it's like adder said WOOT bears more responsibility for what goes out.

Buy the shirt, live on the edge.

If you really hate it then give it to your little brother OR your little sister OR even a homeless person who will probably think the world of you and not even care what the shirt is.

Hey, don't forget Christmas is coming and you can give the shirt as a gift to your friend, or your enemy or use it for one of those gift exchanges.

Or why not even start a crazy trend and wear it inside out and backwards.

If none of the above are options, you can use it to paint your house in. Just paint over the part you don't like.

:-D

Work like you don't need the money,
Dance like no one is watching,
Love like you've never been hurt.

This deserves quality post points. Not only do you come up with a mini-list of great suggestions, but minus the inside out and backwards thing, I've actually done these suggestions.

Now I have a new thing to try with the shirts I don't like from the random shirt days.

Have purchased randoms 7 times in the past, 3 shirts each time, and there's only 2 or 3 that I actually wear out of the 21.

While it was fun to receive an "unknown package," the novelty has since died off. I'd rather save my money and spend the extra $3.34 on something I *know* I'd like.

Oddly enough this is my first post and my only motive is to rant about people not bothering to read the thread they are posting in. I expected more from wooters.

Oh and where can I get a question mark shirt?

No M or L? Fantastic. Thank goodness we have children's sizes in stock. This is like having a vegan pizza party. Yeah, it's pizza, but no normal people can enjoy it.

I wonder if it's possible to get the blurry question mark shirt from April 1, even though it says "no, we're not selling a blurry question mark shirt."

The last time I ordered 3 random (July) I received:
Crazy Straw - March 26
Big Robot - March 23
Shirt Title Pending (Stone Temple Pilots) - March 21

FYI, my Big Ol Cabbage from the last Wootoff had a shirt in it=> Columbus Discovers 7 Stranded Castaways', the derby winner from Jan 9,2009! More than 18 months....

I might be the only one who wants to have a blurry question mark shirt, but that doesn't make me crazy. I'm crazy for a slew of reasons.

Glad I got my two this morning before the larger sizes ran out! I like my shirts roomy!

I've only done the random shirt once before - got the Woot Exclamation Point on that one!

hackman2007 wrote:You will receive a reckoned shirt.

It is possible to get a current shirt, but I doubt Woot would do that since they sell the ones that haven't been reckoned yet for $15.

So I would say anything within the past 6 months is what you are going to get. You may get shirts older than that though.

so then they are the good ones and I shouldn't have to worry about getting one of the random shirt of the days that weren't that good? XD

I was planning on getting two, but L was sold out. So I planned to get an XL, feeling I could simply allow it to shrink a bit. Then, the next thing I knew, XL was sold out. Oh well, there's always next time..

I was hoping for an otterific shirt like The Apathy Coalition, or Poison Apple.

Maybe if you order the smaller shirt and plant it, it will grow to the right size...

"Reckoned" means that the shirt is no longer sold on the site (the bottom 7 in the reckoning right now will be reckoned tonight), so it's possible/likely to get an unpopular shirt.

they should put a forum on woot, so you can scan through the comments for the day and see if your question is answered... I bet that would actually inform.

You'll note reading their comments that they seem none too happy about people suggesting their current artist stole something.

Apparently there are more facts to have than "this was clearly stolen, look at these images"

Well, they're right. For example, did you know that the woodpecker has air pockets in their skulls to cushion their brains so that they don't get headaches? I bet the user that posted about the plagiarism did not have that fact when they commented.

Wow...reading the edited comments on Teefury is ridiculous. I really want to just point out to all the people who are saying they would buy the Coffee Man that it isn't going to happen and should never have happened since it's stolen art...but I don't want to risk the ban.

Not that it matters much since I've never bought anything from Teefury...but it's nice to have my username reserved in case I ever want to buy something.

-.-
