jerberry wrote:You captured every detail on this brilliantly. And I appreciate the forest background, nice subtle touch!
I was going to take the opposite route and say that the image is strong enough on it's own that the background is superfluous.
Re: Deciduous Dots
6 colors on lemon. Hope you like it!
Probably one of the most detailed designs I've worked on in a while, but it was really fun. There's A LOT of beautiful entries this week, I was almost afraid to enter. I'll post some close ups later. Thanks in advance for looking/commenting/voting! Here are the close ups! I'll post the links to them too in case you can't see them since woot is acting kinda funny. http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn87/xPrincessSakurax/fallcolorsladyclose1.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn87/xPrincessSakurax/fallcolorsladyclose2.jpg http://i302.photobucket.com/albums/nn87/xPrincessSakurax/fallcolorsladyclose3.jpg
Re: autumn symphony
Very artsy and cool, but this looks to me like it might be more than 6 colors? I like the combination of harsh angles and soft curves though.
Reibear wrote:Oh no! Autumn Annie's been beheaded! Hahaha. Looks nice, not sure if the strand of hair in her face detracts from the picture or not, but it sure stands out a lot, even from a distance.
I agree, the strand of hair almost looks like a scar from far away, perhaps if it were more orange like most of her hair is it wouldn't stand out so much.
bassanimation wrote:Awww, this is super super sweet. Nice work here!
yay a compliment from someone I admire thanks Bass!!!!!
zosai wrote:I really like this! It's funny and well done. The end of the handle is a little abrupt, but the shirt is great!
I agree with the handle too, but still a funny Idea!
Re: Rake Break
I like how this shirt is cute, but not in the sugary sweet way, but in a more classic kind of cute.
Re: ARR-tumn
So simple and yet so creative
i would have liked this a lot more if the color part was bigger and the tree/tree trunk was smaller. right now you have a long trunk but the color part looks cut off or squashed.
Re: Equinox
This is absolutely beautiful. GMV!!!
scionofjubal wrote:This is beautiful. It caught my attention immediately. The only negative feedback I have is that while her face and hair looks very pretty, her arm/branches look very masculine. I can see how it must have been a difficult balance to strike, since they are made of branches. That one feature loses a little of the delicacy of the rest of the design.
I would ask if you saw the drawing in the pre-derby thread and thought that or was this version the first you saw? I ask because that was my only problem with the original line art but I made changes to it. I made her face bigger, shoulders less broad, slimmed her arms down, shortened her left forearm and a few other details. I think I did everything I could to make her feminine without changing the fact that she's got branches. Here's a gif that toggles between the original and edited lineart since posting images in thread isn't work at the moment VIEW GIF HERE
Re: Transitions
bloody work, I love the colors and the feel of the tree changing. Hope to see it print, i'd buy one in a heart beat
Re: Autumn Tree Dragon
This has more votes than Double Leaf Blower Action..? WoW.
AdderXYU wrote:This is the sort of work woot needs to support more often. Sadly, the previous comments here prove the site will never be mature enough to appreciate design for people over the age of 15.
Evidently Adder has a short memory. For quite a while, Woot would reject entries that had obvious round objects in the chestal (sic)area for the reasons the females in this thread have made clear. I do not think this design should be rejected though. It has nothing to do with maturity; it is more a matter of taste and class. I agree with Adder that this design is quite lovely and I would like to see more from this artist but please be more attentive to the female form next time ;-).
i love you man for this :D
Re: Falling
This is utterly breathtaking. Wow, I really want to wear this. Great work!
Re: Just Around The Corner
For us fall is a reminder that winter is just around the corner. We hope you enjoy this one.

I love this! Please do post some close ups, bc while I voted anyway, I'd love to see the eye colour.
Re: Autumn Repose
Is that a butterfly sinking into/emerging from her hair?
Resub! Adjusted the tee color. Here's the details again:
kate1188 wrote:That design would look pretty sweet over my right lady lump. I like.
That's awful, ha! It makes me think of cancer. I'm gonna go with 'bunny slope', since I'm not all that busty.
Is this on Khaki or Olive or whatever that dark, muddy greenish colour is, or is it on Brown? Please let me know, as I love this shirt - no surprise - but REALLY can't pull off the muddy dark green background.
Re: I feel savage
Hard to be savage without claws...poor declawed kitty!
mindputtee wrote:Very artsy and cool, but this looks to me like it might be more than 6 colors? I like the combination of harsh angles and soft curves though.
Yhanks a lot. no no it's a 6 colors design ;-))
ramyb wrote:I knew I wanted to do this design when I saw the theme, but it took a while to figure out the execution. I went through five or six different versions before finally settling on this one. Hope you enjoy the results
Is this on a Brown background shirt? Please let us know, thanks! Love the design.

Thanks a lot, you know i'm usually very very very attentive at women's forms :-))))
Re: Colors of the Fall
Is the black spot on the far left of the palette peeing? I can't unsee it, egads!
paigeg wrote:Ogres Mangling Freaky Ghouls, this is tame. Last derby I thought the gloves were coming off in a couple of threads. I agree with Adder, we need more from you and others like you (Weird, you lissenin'?). Still, though I wouldn't wear ANY Woot shirt if I was afraid of the attention to my chest, it is best not to virtually hang out a sign, so to speak. But, a slight change in size and/or placement would solve that easily enough.
thanks Paige.I'll work on a resub.I like the way you overcomed the "chest" problem, you're great ;-))
Re: The Last Leaf
Deliciously eerie!
Re: a whisper for mother nature
Your work is so interesting. I luv it. Keep it up!
Rawr! Really aw3som3 design, Naolito! Great to see it in the fog today. ^__^
Re: Double Leaf Blower Action
ramy, I'm not trying to be snarky or sarcastic. I would honestly like to know - how come your animals don't ever have pupils in their eyes? Why always the blank "zombie" white eye? seriously, I've always wondered and would like to know. thanks.
This is a really attractive design. Voted! (Only problem might be that your placement is a few inches above the printable area.)
Lovely and sweet, and GMV. The fox is a bit off to me - the position of the torso/haunches says he's standing, but the lower legs say sitting. The end result is he's kindof hovering between for me. Just my 2-cents and +1.
Re: The Rakening
This is amazing! Although I'm afraid I may never be able to rake again...
Wow, tons of nice brushwork and shading here. Nice!
I think this shirt is adorable!!!
Very stylized and impressionistic at the same time. Very cool.
Re: a whisper for mother nature - girl version
I was ready to comment that this didn't need changes, then I clicked on it and saw that change is good. My only quiblle is it's awfully large and low on the shirt.
