The only explanation for this not to be on the fog and print on friday or saturday is the average 'wooter' thinks macSh1t3 is actually good healthy food. I wanna wear this one proudly!

Not "true love". He distinctly said "to blave." And, as we all know, "to blave" means "to bluff."

That or dirt, whichever floats your boat I meant to draw in different types of meat to fill in all the gaps but I got lazy. I've got 4 in this derby so far and shooting for a fifth so I had to cut and run.

Re: Baconoctopus

This is the type of entry that I wish was more prevalent with derbies. It is on topic, however, it is completely a stand alone design. It's unique, odd, solid within itself, and is conceptually appealing/amusing.

Good luck with the derby.

haha! I'll have to admit that popeye inspired me in thinking of this scene, especially in the nice striped onesie! Perhaps I should have drawn spinach and not broccoli, then that little guy could surely win the girl!

Boots' design is WAY more wearable and substantially different. It's an awesome pop culture reference, not stolen art. I am SO GLAD for this shirt - I thought there'd be nothing in this derby for me when I saw the theme *shudder* but I LOVE UNICORNS!

Re: Turducken

The placement of the torn paper with text suggests that the turkey is defecating, to my eye.

Maybe move it to below the turkey? Otherwise, I love this awesome gourmet culinary reference!

Why not put the text to the right? That'd get rid of the negative side space issue, but rectify the pooping illusion.

Some may beg to differ about the statement, "Meat is Murder!"... especially butchers.

Its been a busy week and weekend.
Glad to get this up.

May not be for everyone's taste, but I need to be true to myself and try to find my own voice and my own way.
I hope many of you out there can support me in that effort.
Please leave any comments and feedback.
Thanks again.

thatrobert wrote:I looked around to see if someone had done a similar shirt and couldn't find one. Could you be more specific on what you've seen before?

I don't think that I've ever seen a shirt with a cow on it broken down like this. But, for example, there is a pig shirt in this derby (done not nearly as well). I don't think that either of you stole the other's idea, but it's just that the idea is old. There are plenty of "break-down" designs, shirts and otherwise, that use the same idea but perhaps a different subject.

Hey Midge,

I really like the illustration, but I really don't like the way you handled the type here. It looks like an after thought to me, and is just sort of sitting there not really relating to anything.

should I drop it?
or rework it?
because honestly it was an after thought which felt forced but the loan figure didn't feel to dynamic as a design.
What are your thoughts?

The concept is exactly the same, and while this one is executed in a nicer way, the fact of the matter is a similar shirt exists and is currently for sale.
