Re: I like BIG hams

Oh my god
Becky, look at that rump roast
It's so big
It looks like one of those rap guys lunches
Who understands those rap guys
They only eat it because it looks like a giant piece of meat.
I mean the roast
It's just so big
I can't believe it's so round
It's just out there
I mean, it's gross
Look, it's just so pink

It's impossible not to see religious overtones in this. What's amazing is that even though you mock the one who created you and gave his own life for you, He still loves you. Ironically, unless you believe, it is you who will be "braised" forever. There is still time...

It's perfect. The stripes evoke a very vintage "day by the seashore" feel.

and besides from the obvious meat-cooking pun I've just thrown down, it really is a great shirt. I have voted, and I hope it will skyrocket to the fog!

I wish the balloon had some more texture on it. It looks a little flat compared to the rest of the artwork. But awesome shirt!

I think the text is out of bounds, too. And truthfully, I'm hating the font. It seems too cutesy for the image and the distressing.

grayehound wrote:Both the chicken with the pony tails and the rat are representative of McD characters (Birdie and the Hamburglar).

I am pretty surprised at the reaction to this. I think of it as being very anti-McD, and I never got creepy from it. I guess I need to pay closer attention to that stuff next time. Thanks for the conveys everyone!

I think the creepy vibe is about 99% Old MacDonald's expression, and 1% chickens with blank white eyes. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but this really is disturbing - in a good way! I hope this does print so folks can wear it to MacDougal's, just for grins.

I like the design, but this isn't a woot offered color. You'll want to resubmit either on the heather grey or another woot color.

My speech is not parsing. I am speaking in ellipsis.

bodugok wrote:this would make a great grill apron

I couldn't figure out why the design didn't click for me - and that's it. I don't think I'd ever bother wearing it as a shirt, but if Amazoot decided to push out an apron option, I'd Want One.

Re: You wouldnt deny him, would you?

I have the original too, or I had it once. I bought mine at Urban Outfitters about 10 years ago when I was doing the vegan thing. Who knows where it is now. That's the joke tho, to reverse the meaning of a well known shirt. I thought it would be funny for it to look like something expected and then when you read it, it's the opposite of what you thought.
I did explain in the pre derby discussion that it was a spoof on one of my favorite old shirts. But I thought it was so well known, everyone would just get that automatically. It was never my intention to take any sort of credit for the design. Although I do have to say, I didn't trace the old piggy, I did redraw him myself and try to cow-ify him.
