Yeah... if you're going to err, err on the side of subtle and simple.

It's a classic. I did several other completely different takes on the movie but this was my favorite.

Great visual joke, quite endearing, and I really like what you did with the background.

I agree, I thought the one on the left was a woman and as well as the one on the right. I couldn't tell what the middle one was doing to offend the one on the left, until I read the description. I do like it though once I understand it

I like the randomness of the design, but I think the baking pan needs more definition as it's very difficult to see on the shirt.

Maybe it's the coffee. Maybe it's the Cranberry shirt. Maybe it's the bears. Maybe it's the colors. But there is something about this that I LOVE!

Re: Rooted

I live in my hometown now, so this is no longer an issue, but when I lived in different areas, I was never able to make it home it seemed (work, school, snowed in, et cetera...). This is an attempt to capture that. Oh so close, yet so far away!

This layout was really hard for me for some reason and I still don't think it looks right. So here is a close-up of the kid and the house.

Ha! I adored that movie as a kid. And it also gave me a huge fear of hanging icicles, even though that was the made up story!

Re: Dinner With Friends

I like this quite a bit. I always hate the holiday based themes because I don't want to buy a shirt that I'd likely only wear once a year. This seems wearable year round.

Intially there was some confusion until I took in the whole seen and the subtle difference. I'm glad it was subtle instead of banging me over the head! +1

When I can't go home under cold weather, I may hold the scarf made by my mom and feel how warm it is. So I drew a girl holding her scarf with tear to express how much she misses her mom.

I really like the emotion in this one.

But woot's rules are no more than 6 colors. If you have the opportunity, I'd remove this one, and resub. You've got my vote!

Re: A Bishop Family Christmas Story

So what do you get you son for the holidays who was stolen from another universe?
Pink Bunny Suit of course!

Originally I would have loved to have had Peter holding a pair of underwear, like everyone gets at Christmas, and have the name Peter in marker on the inside of the underwear...but then there was the no text rule. Dang that rule sometimes. So I went with pink bunny suit.

Let me know what you think.

Re: TURKEVOLUTION

It's clean and simple, and a departure from your usual designs. All things I can appreciate. I also like that it's a holiday shirt that can be worn anytime. Turkey goes hand in hand with holiday dinners, and following a turkey from egg to feast is a nice idea.

Re: Rooted

the coloring is superb, chumpmagic.
I think what seems a bit off is the layout of sorts. I wonder if the figure was closer to the viewer and the floating home was back smaller it would even it out. Right now it seems a bit disjointed with him floating below it. I still dig the design I just wonder if that would help it.

Ah. Ok. I can see that now. I wish the gender difference was more easily identifiable, but I have no idea how it could be done.

Nice. Even though we can't see the guy's face, I can almost imagine his expression.

And the bear's open eye, didn't notice that at first. Nice touch.
