But woot's rules are no more than 6 colors. If you have the opportunity, I'd remove this one, and resub. You've got my vote!

That doesn't quite look like an olive shirt either. You can be rejected for not using one of the standard colors.

You have one color too many here. Perhaps make the menorah the same color as the tree trunk?

Re: Fruitcake: It Lasts Forever.

Fruit cake is NOT made of fruit. And definitely doesn't taste like cake. You can find all sorts of fun things in this Dorian Gray of holiday pastry.

They are characters from a tv show called Fringe. If you don't know the show then you and many others who don't, won't get it.

Re: Warm and Cozy

this shirt makes me feel cold @_@

is the turtle supposed to be "warm and cozy" when it's shivering / trying to stay warm out in the snow? D:

you can't.
you have to make your changes and then resubmit it and then delete you old design.
I hope that helps.

@violentoceans: I tried lots of different color choices, and while I'm not a huge fan of cream, I definitely felt in the end it gave the design a "parchment" feel, which I think adds a lot.

@markh27: scroll through this thread for other versions, including many with color.

But when all was said and done, this was the version I was most happy with.

Thanks!

I'm always in charge of decorating the house for Christmas, so that's what I'm reminded of when I think of going home for the holidays. So I thought, what about those little critters that carry their houses around on their backs? Six colors on brown, hope you like it!

I like the addition of the background, and the fact that it's subtle, but I miss the eyes. Overall, however, very nicely done!

Yeah, I would agree. I mean, if I were to make a female gingerbread in a bikini, I would not make her dress shaped...

I could easily do a submission with just the snail, I just wasn't sure if it would get the idea across. Maybe I'll put up just the snail since it's still early in the derby.

Re: Home Early for the Holidays

this is hilarious diana, i do wish though that it was just the characters an the door though, not the roof and floor lines, they seem odd and cut off to me. also i would agree that its a little confusing cause i dont notice the gender difference right away, at first i thought the wife walked in on mr ginger bread with another woman, but then they were both in their underwear and i couldnt figure it out until i read your text below. but once i got it i think its hilariou, i just dont know if its gonna be an easy read for most people. love the characters and the choices you made for their underwear! nice job! =)

I'd like a halftone tutorial, plz. I like your halftones. I want to learn how to do them like that.

And if anyone see's this post and would like to help me get better at halftones, I'd love to hear it.
