Re: Wooten Tooten Reindeer

Great job! Just some advice, you may want to add cross-hatching. I believe the straight lines are just considered hatching. I could be wrong. I think you did an excellent job.

I love your drawing style! I'm not so sure about this particular design on a shirt, but it would be great as a book illustration.

Re: rain dancer

Does the shape of the cloud/rain represent something? Like the outlines of a country? The symbolism could be very powerful.

oh man, I agree that i would love to see it on a color other than white, but this one is so funny I may have to just get it if it prints. GMV!

I love this! The color adds to the feeling of coldness that the person seems to be feeling. Nice job.

Perhaps both: The original intent was fireflies, but all the buzz about Deathly Hallows affected the final result.

I love this design, but maybe on a charcoal shirt rather than asphalt? The mustache is almost lost, I need some contrast. Cream maybe?

Wow, Lucky! I did not know that was you from the thumbnail and I can usually pick you out every time! I can see your style in the body but still, this is way outside your usual stuff. I mean, I love pretty much everything of yours, and this is awesome. It's fun to see you do something different Very well done!

Thank you everyone! I'm pretty blown away by all the positive feedback. I almost didn't draw this in the first place because I wasn't sure something so illustration-y would be wearable, but I'm happy with how it turned out and I'm happy that so many of you enjoy it.

CapSea wrote:Well, in some ways I agree that "cream" looks like "cream" but I have noticed that the shirt comps on woot make it look like pink, and the two I own make it look more like a very light brown.

I still think this would look amazing on it, just not like the pinkish hue implied by the digital image.

It doesn't look pink to me, maybe your monitor's color settings are different?

endangeredomega wrote:Stunning work. While the purple and the subject matter make it a little too feminine for me to see myself wearing, I definitely appreciate the artistry here. Good luck!

It can kinda resemble a giant chest tattoo. And mermaid tattoos are TOTALLY manly. Like beefy sailor manly.

fabiofranca wrote:Oh Man! So many details! I would go for it if it was black ink on heather or gray tee... sorry for being so classic...)

Interesting color idea, I'm a little curious now of how this would work with the heather background. I was considering using dark blue on light blue, but purple on cream stuck out far better so I subbed this version.

Re: One Man's Trash ...

I love the scanned graphite on paper effect, but I worry about how it would print. Especially since the paper texture sorta got picked up in your halftones. When it prints there might be an awkward aura of black specks all around the design.

kinzoku wrote:It doesn't look pink to me, maybe your monitor's color settings are different?

Hm... I don't think so. All of my monitors give it a very light pink hue when compared to the actual cream shirt.

Anyway, doesn't matter to me. Still think this is incredible.
