What's the point of latkes without grease?????? Sure wish they had this in time to wear this Chanukah!!!!!! :-(
sourdoughwannab wrote:What's the point of latkes without grease?????? Sure wish they had this in time to wear this Chanukah!!!!!! :-(
yeah, will be good for next year at least.
Does this shirt come with applesauce & sour cream?
Mahjongman wrote:This shirt reveals a clear anti-sufganiyah bias. Typical.
I love jelly donuts as much as the next Chosen Person, but come on, the Ashkenazim totally own as far as Chanukah eats are concerned. But that might be my eastern European bias peeking through. If I had a wee bit of $ right now, I'd be picking this up.

"Eat, Pray, Latkes" would probably have been a better movie.
squarerootofpi wrote:Great shirt. But I would need it tonight and for the next week. By the time I get it, I guess I will have to hold onto it until 2011. Poor planning Woot. Why is it you are able to get the Christmas shirts up for purchase and delivery in time to wear during the holiday, but you put up a cool Hannukah shirt that I will be lucky to receive in two weeks?
Do you guys read the description? It says $5 to have it tomorrow...the first day after the first night..you have 7 more days to wear it!
dmaz wrote:Good, classy, subtle, political humor, done woot style, over easy.
political? where?
I was all over this shirt for a split second until I realized it didn't say "Latka Gravas" like I thought it did.
Enough with the food already!
My sister is going to love this.
T-shirts aside; IF one has forgotten one of the zillion passwords one has, then why does WOOT lose sales, by asking us to type in the forgotten password, so we can make a new one. To me, this is an obvious fluke in Woot thinking. I cannot buy, as I do not KNOW my old password. IF I knew it, then I would have no need to make a NEW password; derrrrr.
Considering tonight is the first night of Chanukah and you guys don't make any extra money if we pay for overnight shipping, I am not sure why you decided to paint us into a corner like this. Why not feature this shirt 2 weeks ago?
grumb wrote:Do you guys read the description? It says $5 to have it tomorrow...the first day after the first night..you have 7 more days to wear it!
So now I have to pay an extra $5 to wear during the holiday? If I wanted a Christmas shirt I could just pay the $10 and get it in time. Still poor planning. I bought this shirt and will wear it all year. Latkas > hashbrowns
NightGhost wrote:The Oxford Comma is optional, although Americans prefer it.
Except in print media, where space is a premium.
We Jews do not pay more for expedited shipping. [/self deprecation] [/wondering if mods will let me get away with it]
Got one for Bubbe!
When I saw this, I was kind of hoping for a bacon shirt. I guess it's just my gentile nature.
Switz213 wrote:I would have bought this if it had an extra comma, alas.
Actually, it is incorrect to put a comma before an ampersand. Well, unless you just really like commas...
i thought this was a play on the pest, "love peace and chicken grease"
Watch this AWESOME Channukah video while wearing this shirt.
Who gives a cook about an Oxford comma?

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. have you seen Chinese Food on Christmas?
Some background info for the goyim: Hanukkah Foods
THIS SHIRT SHALL BE PERFECT FOR MY MOM & DAD'S CHRISTMAKUH PARTY. and it shall be in capital letters. oi!

...and a great shirt, too. Freylekhe nitl.
Trying to figure out what size shirt fits a size bigger than the ladies XL. I bought that size for my daughter previously and it's a little small. A mens medium, maybe?
The "woots by state" map for this shirt is amusing.
laurenmckinnon wrote:Trying to figure out what size shirt fits a size bigger than the ladies XL. I bought that size for my daughter previously and it's a little small. A mens medium, maybe?
The men's medium is slightly bigger than the WXL... and it doesn't seem to shrink as much. It is also alot longer than the WXL and less fitted, of course.
I buy the men's M because I can't always fit into a women's XL depending how it's cut. It fits me perfect. The chest is a little wider and the length a little longer. I would look at the sizing info.
emeycakes wrote:The "woots by state" map for this shirt is amusing.
It's mostly predictable except for Oregon... apparently, I was completely unaware of the great abundance of fellow MOTs/goyishe latke fanciers when I lived there.
Agreed. The first night of Hannukah is tonight; if I overnight it, it will arrive on Friday it says, too late for my son's school party. Bummer. Woot, you dropped the ball here - it should have been printed before Hannukah.
I find skillets offensive.

You MUST get a quality post for this. I don't know how many people got it, but that was one of the funniest posts I've ever seen on Woot. Mazel tov!

Amen to that!!!!!! Tomorrow night I wear last year's "Solid Gelt" shirt to the party!
I failed to read the comments before me, so I'm just gonna pretend this never happened. Love the shirt ;)
That is an awesome, awesome video.
LinenEphod wrote:Thanks scooterMX
I agree with him.
Dear Woot: I love the Chanukah shirts. Keep making 'em each year!
I'm glad the mods let you get away with it. It's not offensive at all, and very funny.
