Re: Jack in the Green (on brown)

A wild man of the Winter woods, twisty and gnarled, although not without a hint of crazy Classical contrapposto. Complementary red and green on brown.

I'm trying to decide if I should take one of these down to keep from splitting votes. Any comments on which is better? This or this?

For me, this one.

Re: Jack in the Green (on creme)

It's that twisted and gnarled old wild man of the woods again, but this time feeling a trifle more wintry on creme. Complementary red and green on creme.

yankeebird wrote:Yeah, it's a nice looking shirt, but I don't think that's a shade of violet. Nor does woot have the ability to print from seam to seam like that.

Also, I think the ink colors are the ones that are supposed to be complementary. I guess that may depend on how picky the rejectionator is!

I really like your design, but I'm afraid you'll get rejected... I think you need to use blue and orange as the ink colors, since the rules say the shirt color doesn't count.

Re: T-Rex Sword Fight

Personally I think this would make a stronger design with just the upper t-rex. And a chainsaw instead of a sword... okay that might be a bit much, but it would be really cool.

Re: Winter Eclipse

Kinda hard to tell, but it seems like the design is kinda low on the shirt. Very subtle and neat use of negative space.

Thanks for pointing out the placement it totally slipped my mind while I was finishing this up last night/year. I'll fix that and resub it when I'm feeling a little bit better composed. Also the ink colors are orange and blue, no violet in there.

Seriously I hope the rejectionator doesn't get you for not showing your dot screen. Been there done that.

Good Luck, a wonderful non-sequitur to brighten my day.

This is so beautiful. The colors, the artist's passion in this design speak to me. I would proudly wear this shirt.

So I made a number of "logistical" errors in my original submission, but it's a new year now so here's a cleaned up and proper version. Hope you enjoy!

Add a little perspective to your new year with this shirt, using just two colors; orange and royal blue on kelly green.

Yeah. It's really annoying. Almosts defeats the purpose of the derby. Oh well, what could have been a great derby got screwed up because of that jolly rule.
