Oh, I am SUCH a sucker for avian art. Every single shirt.woot I own has a bird on it except for the one from the art deco derby. I LOVE this one. Purchased immediately!

did anyone else see two sequenty white eyes and a big frowny face first then realize the left eye was its beak and the frowny face was its neck??

Diuy

I definitely saw the beak as a second eye and the neck design as a mouth. I was horrified for a moment.

For some reason I thought this was an Emperor Zurg bird. I think I have watched way too much Toy Story.

Very cute! I'm waffling as usual depending on how my random turns out.

Yep, with big teeth...that and the colors makes it look like Bizarro animated Batman (not necessarily a bad thing)

It's a cognitive illusion, and it's AWE-SOME.

Yeah, I have to struggle to see it any other way. It creeps me out

My Cellar, totally out of date. Useful, I know.

He kind of looks like Venom or Space Ghost...or SpaceVenom. Bird. SpaceVenomBird...Man.

I don't get it. No offense to the artist, I'm just probably not cultured enough to get the surrealism.

My avatar needs an eyebrow wax...

Well, there seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece. A headline regarding mass awareness of a certain avian variety. Have you not heard??? It was my understanding that everyone had heard.

Can anyone identify if this was modeled after a real bird? It looks like a type of swallow perhaps?

Check out the "We Call This Color" link - book's selling on Amazon for over $400. I looked on my library website, and there are two non-circulating copies in my county! Now I must know why this book is worth so much. And where does Woot find these tidbits?

Thankfully you included your "then realize" portion of your thought, otherwise I'd still be looking at Zurgbird. Now I can see it both ways and think "Awesometastic" no matter what.

I saw the beak as another eye too... it definitely is Zurg-bird. Too hard to see it any other way now.

If it is Zurg-bird, he's missing his blasting gun.

What is a very important part of design missing in this project? The eyes. We cannot see the birds eye which is why we are all finding the eyes in the beak and the white colored ear covert.

My Family was named after this Bird circa 800AD.
The Passerine Siris
Our name later evolved to Poserina

It means perching.

You bet your arse I'm in for 1.
