Dedicated to the birds of Arkansas.
Surrounded by identity disks, all blue and white...that bird has been to The Grid!
Oh, I am SUCH a sucker for avian art. Every single shirt.woot I own has a bird on it except for the one from the art deco derby. I LOVE this one. Purchased immediately!
did anyone else see two sequenty white eyes and a big frowny face first then realize the left eye was its beak and the frowny face was its neck??
I definitely saw the beak as a second eye and the neck design as a mouth. I was horrified for a moment.
this is sick. i bought 2.

glad to know i wasn't the only one!!! B^)
For some reason I thought this was an Emperor Zurg bird. I think I have watched way too much Toy Story.
Very cute! I'm waffling as usual depending on how my random turns out.

Yep, with big teeth...that and the colors makes it look like Bizarro animated Batman (not necessarily a bad thing)
Thanks dude, now I can't un-see it.
I personally see Space Ghost, but he did always kind of look like a bird...
thats the only way i CAN see it. and also why im buying it.
It's a cognitive illusion, and it's AWE-SOME.
solusumbra wrote:thats the only way i CAN see it. and also why im buying it.
Yeah, I have to struggle to see it any other way. It creeps me out
He kind of looks like Venom or Space Ghost...or SpaceVenom. Bird. SpaceVenomBird...Man.
The cold meds are hitting...I shall roll off to the dumbery and sleep now.
I don't get it. No offense to the artist, I'm just probably not cultured enough to get the surrealism.
Whether or not it's "clever", there's a fine line between clever and that other thing.

that other thing = bacon
this doesn't have anything to do with the birds in arkansas and louisiana does it?
I love the colors... cool shirt!
That's one mean looking bird
I must have missed the Spirograph derby.
Well, there seems to be an absence of a certain ornithological piece. A headline regarding mass awareness of a certain avian variety. Have you not heard??? It was my understanding that everyone had heard.
Can anyone identify if this was modeled after a real bird? It looks like a type of swallow perhaps?
YES exactly lol....
Looked to me like it has a mouthful of baleen like certain whales. So weird.
acretion wrote:Bird shirt!
that looked like bird poorp when I first read it.
the rare but beautiful Orca Swallow - Orcus Sedonia.
Check out the "We Call This Color" link - book's selling on Amazon for over $400. I looked on my library website, and there are two non-circulating copies in my county! Now I must know why this book is worth so much. And where does Woot find these tidbits?
Thankfully you included your "then realize" portion of your thought, otherwise I'd still be looking at Zurgbird. Now I can see it both ways and think "Awesometastic" no matter what.
since we're all seeing things i was thinking it was a crazed-looking Good-Feather pigeon from animaniacs
I saw the beak as another eye too... it definitely is Zurg-bird. Too hard to see it any other way now.
If it is Zurg-bird, he's missing his blasting gun.
(Mod's note: Please be sure to remove referral links before posting.)
Yep, except to me it wasn't frowning, so much as baring its teeth!
Oh my! Frosty's gallavanting! me too...I thought it was some sort of creepy whale.
What is a very important part of design missing in this project? The eyes. We cannot see the birds eye which is why we are all finding the eyes in the beak and the white colored ear covert.
My Family was named after this Bird circa 800AD.
The Passerine Siris
Our name later evolved to Poserina
It means perching.
You bet your arse I'm in for 1.
I could have sworn I've seen this before. Was this submitted to a derby a long while back?
