Does this have anything to do with David Bowie? I'm only getting this if I get some confirmation here.

I like the reference to Don Quixote... especially since it appears to be drawn in the same general style as the formerly shirt.woot Quixote (They Might Be Giants) shirt. Glad I picked up extras of it when it was still in the reckoning though.

Any chance we might see those again ever woot?

Coincidence?

A simple t-shirt bra in cream will fix that for you. <3

Someone already mentioned Shadow of the Colossus, but I hope I'm not the only old fart who thought of this when I saw this shirt...

I actually don't know what that is. I'll guess ninja gaiden. When I was little my dad was still building his own computers and playing games back then (you know, when graphical games started '89 or so) so I played the wing commanders and whatnot but not console stuff till the 64.

That said I got a bit of an assassin's creed vibe too.

It's shirt based on the movie Labyrinth, in which Bowie played the lead villain.

Labyrinth is my all time favorite movie, but I just don't like this shirt, especially on white.

This is a great example of a shirt that would be so much better with color choices. I'm still getting it, but it's not reaching its full potential.

I hate the white design, too, but every derby, I pick out two shirts I would buy if they won, and this was one of them. *goes to buy*

I noticed, too, noticed the distinct similarity to one of my favorite Woot Shirts. I wondered if A Distinct Possibility was drawn by the same guy, but that was DeadFrog. And this one is more a bit more stark, with more hard lines, as opposed to the smoothness of the last one.

Oddly enough, though, DeadFrog and michealevans are both from Evanston, IL. Suspicious... >_>

I am torn between hating white shirts, centered shirts, and shirts with very large prints, versus my total love of Labyrinth, fantasy, and nicely done artwork.

Gonna think about this one and come back to it later. Can't decide if I'd ever wear it or not.

A maze that rises only to the monsters' ankles really isn't going to do a whole lot of good...

Wa-hey! I'll be in for one of these.

I felt safe this would print, and I'm very glad to see it here. Now I just neeeeeeeeed MissKari's Guardians of the Labyrinth to make it too...

When I read Goblin King, I immediately thought of "Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell", by Susanna Clarke. If you haven't read this book, and you like fantasy books, then you must go buy it now.

What I like about this is the lack of Sarah. It makes Bowie seem far more epic and awesome without a whiny fifteen year old running around not realizing he digs her.

They're the same person. Michael has an alter ego. Because he is a superhero.

Congrats on the print, Michael. Nicely done.

Rancor meat is delicious! Too bad they are now on the endangered monster, run for your life - list. I wouldn't want to have to pay that fine, king or not!

Oh and P.S. After doing massive amounts of woot shirt laundry today (OK no joke, it took 5 full loads, and that wasn't even all of them :/ )

But I did notice how awfully dirty my white shirts have become. So, even though I would have liked to have bought this shirt, I just can't get those white shirts outta my head! Knowing this is how this nice shirt will end up, dirty, can't wear it in public unless you want to panhandle as a homeless man.

If I don't see you no more in this world, I betcha on the next one you'll know me! Don't be late!

I agree with the Assassin's Creed feel of the shirt that some other people have pointed out. Climbing to the top of a tower and surveying the city? Awesome, in video game or shirt form.

So, I guess the fact that I totally understood the description speaks both to my age...er, maturity.... and my 1982 geekdom. It does bring back fond teenaged memories, though. I'm pretty sure I still have my dice somewhere.....

yes, Yes, YES!!!!!

Got 2. One for me and one for my daughter. I'm next door to broke, but I HAD to have this shirt. Labyrinth is one of our favorite movies of all time!

When I was a kid, our goal was to "Spot the Bulge". My friends didn't drink, but finding the Bowie Bulge was much fun for a bunch of pre-teen girls lol

I 2nd these thoughts. No movie connections working in my mind.

I love the style and the layout. Had to get one.

Edit: now that I finish reading comments I'm seeing reference to the movie 'Labrinth' (spelling?). Never seen it.

Sitting here crying over the old Woot. Where are you my sweet and loveable Woot? Slowly losing my love of Woot. :-(

Sure, they look intimidating, but all you have to do is hold your magical sword up so the light reflects off it at juuuuust the right angle, shining onto the collossus' weak spot. Then it's simply a matter of scaling the angered collossus and implanting your sword into said weak spot.

Better bring Agro.

My god I know I've seen those "goblins" from a movie or a game or both maybe! The name of the shirt seems to be a reference to the movie Labyrinth, since the main antagonist is proclaimed to be "The Goblin King" however the goblins in that movie look NOTHING like this. I can't place where I've seen it before
if anyone knows please PLEASE say where these are from x-x

Wow... the only reason I didn't check Woot last night was because I stayed up late watching Labyrinth, for the first time in like 10yrs...

How serendipitous... might have to buy just for this reason.

Speaking of Shadow of the Colossus. They are about to release a remake of it with ICO for the PS3 with updated graphics (as well as their newest game that is coming out soon as well) :D
