My only point of contention is that when I showed my significant other, he insisted that the dragon passed firey flatulence because of the starry pattern under his cute little behind, despite the clear clue from the dragon's cute little nostril indicating smoke.

Good thing you added the nostril smoke! :P
This came out great. GMV

Thanks. My designs when they're not pop related seem to fall flat with majority of voters though. I hope it would snag an hm but the prospects of that are not very likely. I appreciate the comment and support none the less.

So glad someone did this! I love taking pictures of fire-spinners but woot keeps smacking me down on gradients and lack of time etc... You did an awesome job!

So mystical and pretty and I love the back art she has, it's gorgeous. Everything about this is light and magical . The flames are beautiful, and you can tell you were really in touch with a certain zone of your repertoire, it's beautiful and I love it!

Re: Melting Defenses

Of cute designs this one is fun. This should garner tons of votes and print. My only crit is the marshmallow is just a marshmallow fighting this very stylized fire dragon. Maybe have the marshmallow actually dressed as a knight possibly of graham cracker and chocolate. There just seems to be a slight disconnect in this simple mallow and this cool fire dragon. I still dig the design though.

Both of your designs on this derby are quite good, as usual, but this is my favourite of the two. Fun concept and illustration, and it would make a great kids tee.

This is really clever and I like the more realistic break from your regular style.
This is graphically eye catching and very wearable.

Thanks, for taking the time to explain. I did miss that and will make another one once I get my pallete set correctly.

Re: The Dungeon of the Marshmallow King

I really dig the mash up and moving away from the initial sketch from the pre-derby thread. The inital design was sweet but I like this play on the scene much better being more of a parody. Plus its refreshing to see parody from you 2.

Re: Heart Burn v.2

Figured I would try a smaller design with the placement over the heart, no halftones, and less swirly thingies. 5 colors on heather grey.

I'd love some feedback. Thanks!

Navy. I won't be using THAT template for navy again. Must be the highlights that make it too light. I don't get the rest of this rejection at all.

Re: Devil Will Ride

Woot, are you now saying that the background behind the shirt placement must match the color of the shirt? Because that hasn't been something you've enforced for a LOOOONG time. Personally, I usually make the background either darker, or lighter, or a gradient on the shirt placement image, and you haven't been rejecting that. You also don't reject the silliness of people putting the threading of the fabric itself on the detail and the placement backgrounds, even though those are certainly almost always an order of magnitude off from reality.

These reasons are petty.

I grant that the shirt color is wrong, though.
