As for what I was doing wrong, essentially I was forgetting to turn up the contrast when apply the layer mask for halftones.

Hmmmmm. If I attended any high school in the United States, and happened to wear this shirt to school, beyond any shadow of a doubt I would get the living tar beaten out of me, multiple times that day. Lucky for you, I am not in high school. +1 from me!

According to the stars, some Leos and Rams can be incredibly aggressive. I can only imagine how they'd react if they crossed paths with an outspoken astronomer.

Maybe one day, those woo-woo's (see:James Randi) will get theirs. But probably not. Sorry Mr. Astronomer.

I really, really like this. The colors, the simple/clean style, and the fact that I love anything to do with space probably helps. I love seeing specific stars named rather than just random ones. Excellent work.

Kasey and I both really liked the way our design turned out, but found ourselves revisiting it with a few tweaks here and there. We ended up with this version on royal blue, and since the original obviously won't place top 3, we figured we ought to go ahead and sub the version we like better. Still 6 colors (but different ones).

I really love this version, especially the rendering and textures. If I had one small thing I'd like see, it would be for the stars on the figures to have a warm glow with a white center. But still it's an amazing design and I'd snatch it up in a second if it printed.

You definitely get a lot more shine out of this one. I still prefer the navy because I really like the effect it gives that they are sort of out there in the blackness of space, but I'd be proud to wear either.

I'd love to see another collab with you guys and hopefully the voters won't be so blind next time.

Thanks! Yeah, it's black, but I have noticed that the shirt template can look lighter when next to the solid plain black of the background.

i wanted to do a simple bold design and all elements were prepared except the background...mechanical i don't know but it came easyly and it doesn't happen so oftenly :-))

Amreli, the star wasn't my original plan - I was going to use the general shape of the Star Trek insignia as this is parodying Roddeberry's original description - but after some advice I thought it was better to play it safe.

I'm just pleased this turned out okay. You almost can't tell I've never drawn a horse before in my life. :p

Decided to rework my previous submission, since I wasn´t happy with the way it looked on the tee. 3 colors on a brown t-shirt (hope you´re not boycotting brown also, paigeg ).

In my opinion, you improved the design with the tweaks you made, but I prefer the previous color scheme. I think that the more muted, monochrome look, fits better with this style of illustration.
