Re: Monkey Business

Thanks for all the support on this everyone. I'm glad it finally hit the fog though I highly doubt it will print. I had a lot of fun doing it. Thanks again and onward to the next derby

Re: The Jungle Book Club

Great job on your animals Lucky, especially the Tiger. My initial design was Jungle Book themed but it wasn't coming together like I wanted it too, glad you were able to do a spin on it

I love the red & yellow; side patterns are my favorites as are intricately drawn designs. I hope this prints.

The white dots are actually something I love about this shirt. I knew what they were instantly and I think it adds to the designs "Indian" feel. +1 :D

Oh, it's suppose to be a dance pose (see my very first submission with an awkward hand extends out), so the other leg is lifted and folded (see picture below!)

Feel like doing this little sketchup is fun! Thank you for your comment =D

abubb wrote:Nice design, but mind you, this is not the official map of India (from the Indian govt point of view) as it does not show the entire state of Kashmir as part of India. Doesn't really matter I guess but thought I should point it out.

Thank you for the comment. I used a map of India as my guide line:

I guess I should have done a better research before I started. I apologize for the mistake! And thank you very much for pointing it out! (Ahhh shamed >.< and I even made 4 wrong submissions.....::>_<:: )

I need this to print, not for myself because I just can't rock that color shirt, but because this needs to be on my girlfriends body.

Please Botsboots, caress her body with your art!

But it's taken straight from the music video...he was made up like a zombie just like that with the fangs, glowing eyes, and red jacket in the video...how is it parody if nothing was changed? Maybe I just don't understand Woot's definition of parody.

Thank you, Uniique. glad you dig the design of her. Other expressed differently in the original version. I was really pleased the overall design of her.

Thanks again, all!

I wouldn't worry about it too much, Aksai Chin has been annexed by China and will never be returned and it is highly unlikely Pakistani Occupied Kashmir will be either. According to the UN, this is still a disputed territory, so whatever map you use, you will be upsetting either India, China or Pakistan ;)

A long term settlement will in all likelihood see the current military borders be turned into political ones, so your intepretation may well stand the test of time.

I LOVE this design - I love the placement, the colors and the combinations of intricacy and simplicity. I think it would be so wearable.

I REALLY REALLY hope it wins - for all the reasons I love it, I think it is the best of the bunch.

Good luck!!

I'm so sad this one left the fog. It is the only shirt on this entire derby I would actually have wanted. This theme is so difficult, and you made something that was both appealing to look at and funny.

I don't know, personally I prefer the off-center look to the design. I probably wouldn't like it nearly as much if it was centered. Guess it works for some people, doesn't work for others.

Either way, awesome design, and I'll definitely be grabbing one of these shirts when they win.

Thanks to everyone who found the idea of wearing this shirt as appealing as I did. Excited to be going to India next month, so this design really got me in the mood. Would have been nice to wear this in the land that inspired it, but I'm not short of t-shirts thanks to Woot.
