Davide and I thought this was a different enough avenue to go for the joke, since it's less of a meme joke and more of re-creating the scene's plot without screaming out the immortal Akbar words on the shirt.

Hopefully. Instead of allowing it in the derbys wear ANYTHING with starwars/(insert pop culture reference) gets a significant advantage over everything else based solely on that reference, let the woot staff decide what kind of pop culture shirts to print as dailies. Hopefully keeping all the nerds satisfied while at the same time setting keeping a (woot determined) quality standard.

I don't understand the revelry behind Admiral Ackbar, though it is a fun meme.

Ackbar was the classic "by the book, cut and run" type of authority figure. He saved no-one, he even acknowledges the "trap" after the everyone else has figured it out.

LANDO was the REAL hero of the galaxy. Not only did he figure out the shield is up before it's too late, but it's Lando's decision to stay in the fight, it's his call to take the fight directly to the Star Destroyers, and he also makes the final shot that cripples the newly constructed Death Star.

If it was up to Ackbar, they'd be liking their wounds in some distant planet in the Empire-ruled galaxy.
