At first i voted for this cause i thought it was cute but then i started reading comments and looking at it closer and it really is quite poorly done. I don't know what this other guys stuff looks like but unless people do what i did and just look at it quickly before voting i don't know how he gets so many printed

DianaSprinkle wrote:Hmm, well I think the design is only 12.5 inches across and about 14.9 inches tall in the actual file. The girl shirt tends to be shrunk to be smaller then that. =D

I'm glad you like the idea. This one was tons of fun for only being 3 colors.

Now that you mention it, all the designs on my shirts (I'm a girl) look smaller scale-wise than they do on the site or on mens' shirts. I wonder why that is?

Re: turtle tutoring

If it isn't a parody it's drawing attention from the TMNT franchise. That's as close as you can get. But I wouldn't call it copyright infringement.

BUT, I agree that they aren't following Woot's advice on no pop culture references.

mindputtee wrote:I'm usually a sucker for a TARDIS shirt (I own at least a few from both woot and teefury) but I can't get behind this one for a couple of reasons.

A. The hordes of Genghis Khan couldn't get through the TARDIS doors, yet a measly dinosaur can crush it? Nuh uh.
B. The TARDIS has a wood outside, it would not crunch like that but rather splinter. (see series 5)

EDIT: Also, that's not even a proper TARDIS, the TARDIS has 3 wood panels (on each side) below the windows.

kevlar51 wrote:Nice action scene!

Topps (I think) had a trading card series back when I was a kid along a similar premise. Dinosaurs were coming into the present day through some time portal and slaughtering people.

I had those, too! The series was called "Dinosaurs Attack!" from 1988 and it was a spinoff of the "Mars Attacks" cards (the ones that Tim Burton based his movie on) from the 60's. You can check them out HERE.

Re: Texas Longhorn

I like the idea, but did you just posterize and color-block a photo? Was it your photo, or at least open stock? You need to consider those things if you want to be paid for a design.

I love how you've used the lines and shadows to really delineate the unique musculoskeletal structure (hey, those biology classes in college are paying off!)-- brilliant rendition. Also, adding the the stripes to increase visual interest is a fantastic touch.
