Oh, shoot. I was expecting this to stay in the fog! I love how you textured the moon, the expressions, etc. It's a great design and concept. I would so much love to have this shirt for Halloween, and generally to sciencey events!

Only thing is- where's the moon? We should be seeing the moon!

One point of the previous comment was that OTHER designs were rejected for video games because the rejectorationers felt that they were about TMNJ. I don't believe that discussing this possible rejection case is out of line. Why would woot NOT reject this if they rejected the previous design that seems to meet the same 'video game' criteria as this one?

I didn't realize those were all ninja weapons, I'm not exactly up on my ninja qualifications. By that logic though they could reject anything that at one point or other was made into a video game, which is quite frankly, a lot of stuff. I mean, there are Barbie video games, for crying out loud.

Something I realized as I was looking at this though, was that the tail is kind of funny and looks like it's coming out of the side of the shell instead of the back. maybe part of the mutantness? It just looks funny to me.

Someone brought that question up though because one time (that I remember), woot did this -- they rejected a shirt because there was a video game made of the topic. I don't remember how closely the shirt was to the video game, but my foggy memory seems to think it wasn't at all a reference to the game specifically.

"Coming off of the last derby, I guess I still had Japan on the brain. I have an unused Daruma on my shelf, and it got me thinking about what I would wish for. Then, it got me thinking about people who wish and dream outside the box. So, I suppose the message behind my submission is: "Dream big. Be a ninja"? I can get behind that."

For those who don't know: a Daruma is a type of Japanese doll/charm that is used for good luck. When you make a wish, you fill in one of the Daruma's eyes; when the wish comes true, you fill in the other eye, and it is regarded as a symbol of good fortune! Festivals are held at the end of each year, during which people burn their lucky Daruma as a way of giving thanks. Neat concept. -:] Thanks for voting!
