I missed a lot from the crosshatch derby apparently. I have to admit I'm not sold on the smoke puffs (compositionally speaking), but the illo and concept is so great.

I'm always impressed by how much great stuff is in the derbies. The "other" stuff gets so much attention in the normal derbies but the double takes are such a nice reminder of the really awesome designs that are in there too. Obviously this is one of them.
