Someone please explain how he's saving the world???

All I see is him about to hand a zombie the gun.

I'm a little robot, short and stout.

Here is my gun, here is my spout.

When I see a zombie, there's no doubt.

Pull the trigger and let a bullet out.

What you can't see until you read between the lines, is that the cutebot is poisoning our crops to turn us into zombies, all so he can get his hands on our tasty, tasty scrap metal.

...Oh, cutebot. I can't stay mad at you.

Yeah sure they are all great and nice right up until they meet the unbalanced kid from Where The Wild Things Are and are given a command that sends them on a murderous rampage.

Which the one in this public service announcement looks all too similar to the one on this shirt for me to trust not to do the same thing and kill us all! too many cookies!

Nice Job but you could have had like 3 robots doing each thing. Then maybe a fourth an animal disguised as a robot. I don't know like a bunny or a penguin. That would have placed first for sure. #missedopportunity

I am required to buy this shirt. I'm a graduate student in Environmental Science AND I have an obscene obsession with zombies.

There could not have been a more perfect shirt for me, thank you. My wardrobe is complete.

I suppose the biggest news to come out of this shirt printing is that the design detail no longer has to match the shirt comp. Unless Woot would like to explain why this design got a free pass, and issue some sort of apology to the artist that winds up in fourth place.

I don't understand why the robot is shooting the hand. I mean, he planted the thing in frame 1.

What are we holding on to, Sam?
That's there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.

If this had been drawn by anyone else it wouldn't have fogged, much less printed. More than twenty well-drawn, creative designs this week and instead woot prints something that looks like it came out of the backpack of Timmy, age 8.

The vote total on these winners is so low for me. Wooters must be robot-ed out.

Since yesterdays shirt only sold 1400, I definitely think this shirt sells more than that, and could possibly even sell out. With only 620 votes though, it's hard to say it will sell out. Votes don't equal purchases, but usually something with a lot of votes sells fast (Acquired Taste).

I'm guessing so far, this wasn't exactly the turnout Woot was expecting from this promotion. (Announcing the theme early, having a sponsor, extra prize giveaways)

As a only a prospective shopper who's yet to buy anything on shirt.woot, I'm not surprised why it's taken me so long to make a purchase. The winning designs always seem to be stylistically similar, none of which I have interest in.

I don't know if it's better QC, alternative voting methods or a new system of competition entirely, but at this point I will continue to not buy anything because of the obvious lack of fairness to designers that have better style, technique and imagination. It's a popularity contest, and I hope many of us understand that's not fair, especially when what's considered popular here can be artificially inflated.

And because this post is negative towards one of woot's most profitable designers, you can go ahead and delete it now.

I literally would have bought EVERY OTHER shirt in the fog OTHER then this one. I'm sorry, but doesn't the woot community tire of these "cutesy" designs?

I'm so sad to see that this bumped out so many other quality shirts in the fog. Hopefully something better prints tomorrow, otherwise this will be another pass week for me.....

To all the other artists, WELL DONE on some creative designs!!!

IgnatiusRiley wrote:Yes, there is no longer any doubt in my mind that the votes for Ramy's entries are inflated via duplicate accounts. Maybe not a lot... but even fifty duplicates would be enough to regularly make the difference between merely being in the fog and being printed.

Woot could improve the situation by printing an editor's choice for each derby. They usually pick good, original stuff during the double-take derbies, so at least one shirt from each derby would print that doesn't rely on vote fraud or pop culture references. I don't think they'd ever pick something as glaringly subpar as today's print.

Of course, they could go beyond improving a bad situation and actually fixing it by finding the duplicate accounts and banning the people that have them.

I agree. I honestly thing this shirt is crap and not that good. I was honestly surpised it even made it in the fog.

Also anyone find it odd that last weeks shirt made by him had just about as many votes.

good for us that 3rd place was better liked. I think really it should be looked into and if found that he is doing that then quickly ban him from making any more shirts.

I mean crummy shirts like this prevent some of the good ones from having a chance from winning.

Because this shirt won I am really worried that one of the 2 shirts that I really wanted to print will not get printed now as there are multiple ones that I feel have a legit chance. I figured on at least one of those 2 printing would happen and I NEVER and I REPEAT NEVER expect this shirt to do any more but be in the fog.

All I can hope is either rotation or Alien Vs Robot prints. Alien vs Robot I want printed more but I was kind of hoping both of them printed.

This one makes sense in the context of the "Robots Save the World" derby, but on its own I really wonder why the presence of a robot is necessary.
