this is great- wonder if being mashed would be any worse a fate. anyway, the expressions and dramatic coloring are a potent combination, most excellent!

Re: Cycle of Life: A Ride for Water

i like it with the heather grey! adds to the clouds element. this would be great as a series of shirts, rock cycle, nitrogen cycle, that might be a bit of a stretch

Re: Tea Time

the style is really neat, i particularly think you did a great job of "carving" in a background. i woulda put people in the teacup, but that's why i'm not in the fog. lol

Re: Wooden Wonder

Hrmm.. I rememer the timberwolf being less jerky and hard on the spine and neck than the metal ones, but certainly more *scary* because it kind of swayed and vibrated alot. It's been a looooong time since I've ridden a roller coaster though, and I was a kid so my memory may not be the sharpest about the experience.. hehe

Still, fond memories though!

Re: Wooden Wonder - The Main Attraction

reminds me of the "Twister Two" when i would always go to elitch gardens in denver, there was a sign near the entrence that said,

"No spitting and/or throwing rock or missiles on the ride"

i suppose it was a common occurance. Great sillouette, btw!

NavyDallas wrote:How about the obvious?

If you have to use the argument that your design is "everyday common", then why the heck are you bothering to submit it?

The reason for the "No" from Woot? How about because the theme of your shirt is "No this" and "No that"? I thought Woot's rejection wording was rather clever.

So because I'm not a great artist and chose to do a very simple design idea associated with the derby theme, I shouldn't submit it?

Re: Chili Con Carnie

I am glad that you gave tribute to the carnival workers, last summer I asked the teacup lady about her job, they travel 9 months of the year...the same people run these rides for a lifetime...I remember some of these folks from when I was a a kid...imagine 9 months at the fair!Yikes.
You captured the expression in the last panel...great insight and I liked your carnie story, you were brave!

You'll need to resubmit with your thumbnail shirt color matching your comp shirt color, or else it will get rejected.

The artwork is really good!
It shows so much skill.

I would have enjoyed seeing actual people inside the clothes, your skill level is definitely up to it....I know thats not the joke you were making here...
Artwork is excellent.

It also looks like you have a faint white transparent ring above the bag in the design. Looks like it may be accidental.

Re: Lost in Nightmares

I have to say that I'm disappointed in this entry. I've been hoping to see more in this style, but not a replica.

I already own "Nightmare Circus", which seemed to have much more effort put into it. (No offense! I love Drakxxx and CrescentDebris, but this just doesn't look as finished as the other.)

The only reason some people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory. -Paul Fix
