Re: Cornered!

The idea is ok. The execution leaves much to be desired. It looks great, until you get to the hand. That shape makes no anatomical sense, and detracts from the punchline of the shirt.

I get the feeling you traced a torso, traced a gun, and then slapped a grey blob on there to try and make the two blend together.

katrinabean86 wrote:The colors for the little preview are really dull so it doesn't pop as well as the larger version. And the lack of a horse is kind of distracting considering he's kind of floating there. I like the idea of the design and the colors.

Weird, it was the colors of the thumbnail that drew me to this image. I love how the artist executed it.

Re: Singin' In The Storm

I must possess this. If I cannot, then I shall be sad.

Then I shall run amok thru a neighboring Bavarian hamlet, singing and tap-dancing while creating havoc and inconceivable destruction.

Nobody want that to happen, right?

RIGHT???

I agree with you about the colors from the thumbnail drawing one in. I liked them so I wanted to make sure that I took a closer look. However, I am sorry, but I do have to agree that the invisible horse is throwing me off. I know that it doesn't show one in the thumbnail either, but when I clicked I more than half expected there to be a fence post holding it up.

Love the overlap effect, this would make for a great shirt to wear during the summer movie season.

As a former movie theater projectionist, I'd so wear this. If it doesn't print here, submit it somewhere else and let us know if/when it does print.

Evokes the era's cinema advertising but appeals to the modern shirt wearer. Get in the fog already!

I think you have the best description of how it is on theme

I just know that I need to buy this shirt!

Hope it gets to be one of the top 3, even if that means I'll be down $30 >.<

ochopika wrote:You know how movies in WW2 days had those news briefs before the film started? There would be a globe with a radio tower and it would say "breaking news or something".
This is based on that, except the breaking news is a giant alien robot (it is certainly not an octopus, which I love to draw.)

Well, I believe you found a clever way to bring what you love to table. Very "topic worthy," and really well done!

Nice combination...
