Oh hey, the WootBot is working today ... because it sure wasn't yesterday.

So before anyone comments, yes, there are a lot of noobs in the danger zone. It's been that way since like week #3. And yeah, there are only 26 this week; random shirt days don't get a second chance in reckoning.

Wow, I sure can pick winners. I don't think I've ever bought a shirt from Woot that wasn't Reckoned in its first week. Looks like I'll be the only person on my block wearing Swashbuckler Island... which is exactly how I like it.

Does Woot have something big brewing behind the scenes?

Are there lots more of these crazy popular themed shirts(pop culture) coming up in the dailies to prompt such a move? No shirt since Poison has even sold 3000 on its first day yet let alone 5000.

Ever since the "Poison" shirt came out we haven't even had a remote shot at seeing if they are still even implementing the 5000 shirt sellout limit still. It could have just been a one off thing because they knew that shirt would sell out fast at the 3000 limit.

I kind of think they may have thought the "Bar Far away" and "Emperor Penquin" shirts would have done better than they did/have. If that's the measure for what is upcoming, the 5000 shirt limit might not be the best idea. Then again, I guess it doesn't hurt them any, unless they are actually producing 5000 first day shirts every time... We will have LOTS of random shirts then by the way these have been selling.

Also, I think now people are TRYING to get Quality Posts by stating the obvious about the No.obs each week. Glad to see the moderators not awarding the same stuff over and over again because the no.oobs haven't been surviving much at all over the last few months and none of them ever all come out of the danger zone, that's just how it goes each week. Same old Kwality Posts week after week about the n.oobs get old, haha.

They give out quality posts in the "chit-chat" forums? I've never noticed.

Well my post this week calling it "Ragnarok for noobs" was a joke on that trend. And the fact I love the word Ragnarok.

Giving bots a day off here and there could help to push the robot revolution a little bit further into the future. You know, improve their working conditions a little.

I think that they dropped hints in another thread about how they weren't getting as many daily subs as you would think from the regular artists. Since then, or at least what would seem like since then, I've seen more regulars have dailies printed with more pop culture or goofy stuff then usual. Maybe that partly explains why were seeing some of the changes that we are seeing.

Considering the overwhelming disparity of time, does anyone else besides me find it amazing that The Cheese is a Liederkranz is already 33% of the way to overtaking The Binge as Woot's best selling t-shirt?

Early sales are skewing the numbers a bit though, and sales will continue to slump over time until they reach a sort of equilibrium.

Part of me wishes there was a pop.shirt.woot, nerd.shirt.woot, cute.shirt.woot, and art.shirt.woot. I know this is impractical and wouldn't make them any more money, but man, a dreamer can dream while waiting for 3037 to get here. :P

Four smores did not sell well at all. Do I hear the reckoning bells for Abe already?

Probably. 360 sales on debut day is low no matter how we look at it.

It has sold 6 more since last night, though, so who knows. As evident in the reckoning, a shirt with lower total sales can rank higher because it's selling at a higher daily rate.

If it's started by a staff member, QP's are an option. Honorable mentions, reckoning, etc. For other threads, no.

I've talked to a few artists, and I know that there are derby regulars submitting dailies, but just not getting picked. They just passed on two of my designs, this week.
