Re: A Catchy Theme Song

You guys don't need to feel *that* old. Didn't reading rainbow only just go off the air in the last two years?

Anyway I loved the show when I was a little kid back in the early 90's/ late 80's and I love this shirt. Awesome work.

Not that sad...pretty sure there is a club about this and now this will be the uniform.

6 for me then ;) (is it sad that I run the club or that there are only 6 people in it?)

Very interesting to study and lovely form a distance too. I love how the frog prince crosses over both green and yellow!

But how is this not 7 colors - your detail doesn't show any halftones except the grey in the book itself - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and white...that's 7.

Yeah, I think it's 7 also...

It's 6...the purple is made up of a blue and red halftone. You can see it in the detail if you look really close.

gwendyw wrote:It is a pretty shirt, but unfortunately, it says "'5adi4-f ac" not "reading", and even that is iffy.
A braille letter is composed of a pattern of six dots within a single 2x3 cell, but the row of cells has to have a common baseline in order to be "read." Dropping dots below that baseline makes it a different letter (or symbol, or short-form word, or contraction.) So I get you wanted seven letters, but you ended up with 14 cells. Braille has an ungodly amount of rules determining how and when you use certain combinations of dots, so how the combinations are read is determined by the context. The only reason I could get anything out of the pattern is because I volunteer with helping a teacher of the vision impaired interline her beginning Braille students homework. Little kids can Braille some funky stuff trying to trick up the teacher!

Sorry I'm "that person" today, I really did like what you are trying to do. I just don't want you to end up with a tattoo that says soup instead of courage, if you know what I mean.

I doubt anyone will get too confused, since they can't read it in the traditional manner, anyway ^_^

Even demented little girls can write books! Though I'm pretty sure they only get 'published' on places like fanfiction.net...

I don't think this works all that well on a shirt, but it is certainly funny. You could probably find success if you actually made this a book.

Everyone can probably and hopefully tell this, but I'll post the other inspiration for this design (besides the old book illustrations) here. See, if you wear this, you can look sort of like the back of a playing card, lol.
