I think so too. Here's why: http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=43447

but I wanted it the first time and I still want it now.

So simple, so perfect. This is a really strong derby.

Re: Literary fail

"To be or note to be" is not Mark Twain; it is marking time in the most concise, but ultimate, way.

Who coined, the seminal preliminary concept to today's quote: "I am therefore I be"? Of course, one cannot not be unless one first be.

WOOPS!!! I didn't "shrink" the image for the gals' shirt. It should look more like this::

This will sell a million.
Everyone will get it right away, but it's still abstract enough to be awesome.
I won't put it into the Hamper of Fame yet, but this should win, then go straight to the top of the reckoning chart.
It's so well done that I voted for it, even though I probably wouldn't buy one. I never do that.

I'd never wear the shirt, but I WOULD wear the comment thread. ...If that was possible.

Actually Alice in Wonderland is public domain... I'm assuming there's a Dr. Who reference that I'm not getting though... which obviously wouldn't be... but yeah...if it's parody, apparently it's fine.

Well, that's one way to see it! ;)

Thanks everyone so far! It felt great finishing something. I'm never too good for a helpful critique, though, so lay it on me if you have one or two.

The best rainbow in the derby, hands down. Great detail, excellent color, and that book-cover texture is a fantastic touch.

WOW! Definitely GMV!

Hopefully there are enough folks to notice and vote for this too. Sunday submissions have tended not to fare so well, what with two less voting days.

Re: Sketchbook

I never cease to be impressed by this type of design. Well drawn, excellent detail, beautiful textures. You know you're talented when you can make digital media look like traditional media and still make it work as a shirt design. Excellent.

Re: The Best Defense

This is great. I really like the coloring-book type quality it has. A little rough around the edges, but still very well executed. The way the girl is stylized gives this a nice touch too. Plus, the message is an awesome one.

Re: A Catchy Theme Song

I do wonder about the use of the spelling "metres" for an American TV show theme song... I'd amend that to "meters" for the final draft, if possible. That said, I love it and I hope it prints!

wiki:
A parody (pronounced /ˈpærədi/; also called send-up, spoof or lampoon), in contemporary usage, is a work created to mock, comment on, or trivialise an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, by means of humorous, satiric or ironic imitation.

unfortunately, i'm afraid he's spared the rejectionator. the design both mocks and trivializes the original work.

This is like Actual Cats, HOOO- taking the cartoon character, and showing the real life version. I don't know why people dislike this so much! I can imagine someone looking around for inspiration and seeing the fishbowl have a lightbulb go off.
