Nice artwork Lucky, but I don't think anyones gonna get the Starwars ref without the title or the image of the wookie once the derby is done. Bandoliers have been in use for a loooong time even in Mexico, and adding the food will not help in that connection.

Anyways, actually I'd disagree. For Ramyb's work this isn't half bad drawing and shading wise.

However, the layout is too static for me. I think that is the problem I have had with many of the Ramyb shirts of late. The only one that really had a more inventive layout of late was the "Minor Modifications" one. The rest of the time the animal just sits there being cute and doesn't really convey action.

Now, I know that in real life, most cute animals like bunnies and "foofy puppies" will just sit there all quiet like and make you wonder if you'd be better off having just bought a life-sized doll that would cost and poop less. Yet, when it comes to wild animals, like a fox, I think we expect to see a bit more movement implied or otherwise.

Simply put, the fox needs those things that we expect to see from a fox. Show me cunning. Show me dashing and daring. I want to see a folded arm fox, sly look on his face with the wind sweeping his cape in the air in a heroic fashion.

Please don't show me a shiatsu-fox hybrid. That's the core problem designs like this of late. No flare.

Mexico controlled California for a bit of time in the early 1800's (from around 1821, the Mexican War of Independence, until around 1846, the Mexican-American War). Surely Zorro lived in southern California during part of that timeframe...
