Re: Hail to the Sun God

This looks really familiar to me. Is this a reworking of a previous submission, from long, long ago?

This is a sweet design, entirely wearable on a black shirt!

Re: Piñatas Strike Back

I like "role reversal", but this ... well, I'd moreso expect that it'd be a kid that's hung instead of an adult. Which leads to the more general aspect of pinatas fighting back ... yeah, it's been done before.

I'm normally not a fan of wearing red personally, but I would wear this.

Re: Cocijo's 925

Thank you so much everyone. To be honest, I was kind of expecting a lot of "nice but something I wouldn't wear" with this design. I am glad to see I was wrong and that so many people like it! Thanks again!

Re: [url=http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=54046]Frida was never really

I really like each image but the composition of the two together leaves something to be desired. I think each on its own shirt would be great.

Taco, Margarita, Nacho, Tamal, a killer combination if there ever was one.

Oh my giddy aunt! I have a chihuahua and her stomach totally does this when she eats too much. She took an entire half a pizza once and she's the runt. Also just so you know your thread had me almost falling out of my chair laughing at work.

Re: Calavera Mine (Día de los Muertos)

Description:
"It is, plainly and simply, my own take on a "calaca" -- the skeleton symbol used as decoration on the Day of the Dead. I've always preferred the black and white style, as opposed to the more colorful designs; I just wanted to cut loose and make something pretty. I also wanted to do something I hadn't seen before -- hence the open jaw held together by roots. There's symbolism in there somewhere."

Hurray! I'm hitting the derbies again after a massive hiatus! Work and responsibility got in the way; but now, I'm back, baby! -:D This is actually a great theme to get back on. A few months ago, I accidentally ran a Shift-Del on my entire design folder -- which included both my personal and contracted work. -:O I had started this design about week earlier, and while it was only in its infant stages, it hurt to lose it. But, for this derby, I built it back up from scratch and, oh: I heave such a heavenly sigh of contentment to see it done. Bringing it back to life was vaguely cathartic, and even a little ironic (given the subject matter). Vote if you like it! Thanks! -:]

Don't resize it, this is perfect beauty.
Too many shirts are gaudy and headache inducing-enough already.

Nice. I'm not a fan of cranberry, but the colors work so well. Just enough suggestion of the landscape, and the water effect is nice, if a little busy. Good job.

Re: WORMS... and the fun goes on!

This kinda grosses me out, and I'm a Big Daddy Roth fan, so slobber and shot are no big deal. I think it's because he's the entire design. If he were on a ratty-looking burro, or hanging out under a decrepit cactus, it might work better for me, giving the eye more to look at and putting the nasty bits into context. JMHO. Great toon, though

Re: Aztec Sunset

I know your animals sell well, but you seem to do some far more interesting designs when you step away from them - this is so pretty and one I'd actually wear. Sorry zorro turned into such a fiasco for you, but I think this tshirt is far better anyway. You should go outside your comfort zone more often
