Re: Tinkering
Weird and wonderful. Yes, grass is a great shirt color (very nice in real life).

I always thought that Hansel and Gretel got eaten by the witch, which *would* make this a reversal. Maybe that was that Patrick was thinking, too?
Re: rescue
The figures here are adorable and filled with life, but the monster kind of kills it - it's very simplistic and awkward.

It baffles me that you would argue. I can only assume you don't realize that you cannot copy and paste someone else's images into your own design and claim it as your own. Even if you change things. For example, this is the bunny you used. Now, you did flip, scale, and rotate it, but that doesn't make it yours unless you took the photograph yourself. The magician's head is fairly hard to see but I'm pretty confident this is the image you used: I'm not going to look for the rest of it. Ok, so even giving you the benefit of the doubt on not realizing you couldn't just mash together other people's stuff, you also submitted this one to this derby: and were already called out on it when another user located this: This isn't even a random internet image... it's an existing T shirt design that is easily located by doing a google image search for "Role Reversal" Hope this helps.
Well i cant seem to submit a derby, Keep getting an Server Error. I already reported the problem but cant seem to solve the problem. Im hoping by tonight or tomorrow morning i can get this up, So for now enjoy the pic.

I agree. You did the perfect job of turning your original flat design into something that shines.
well done roger! im a big fan of your work and i really like how you worked these trees with the background color. im a big fan and i wish i was you. i hate my life. my only regret was never having shared your kiss. big fan. whoops. i replied this to the guy above me instead of writing a new comment. im a dumbhead. forgive me guy on top sincerely, guy on bottom
Spiritgreen wrote:Sweet work, RADsCOOLian! There's actually a PatrickSpens vibe to this. Quality. Paper rock scissors is potentially a bit overfamiliar, but your props raise it into something clever. +1
Thanks! That guy's awesome. And you're awesome. So that's like a x2 complement! (my algebra is a little rusty) The last few weeks, my references were way too esoteric to be well received (besides being poorly illustrated) This week, I was trying to shoot center mass.
Re: bee attack!
woot will never print this (nudity), but I got a very good chuckle out of it.
Re: The Quick Brown Dog
Beautiful illustration style! Belongs in a kid's book
Re: Beat Down
This is eggshellent Spiritgreen. You fine tuned every detail so well and have incorporated the shirt colour nicely through the design so the concept reads clearly.

i do it for the friendship. also, cmon woot! a little booty never hurt nobody! dig deep in your hearts, i know you can do it. put your back into it.
Re: Gotcha
the cat's expression is priceless.
Re: Urban Safari
I am terrified that this will be rejected because it looks like gradients and not halftones. it's refreshing to see a different kind of style on here.
Re: Pink Knight
Much better! You stepped it up a notch, cleaned it up. It's looking good. BlindDog3D
Re: Children are terrifying
Love your style! +1
Love the colors! Really makes them stand out! +1
Re: i need my teddy
This is brilliant and well done. I love that you know your history too!
Re: THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEWOMAN
I want it to print because I want to wear it, my wallet on the other hand is crying... because I want one for me, my mom and a few friends. Midge - you da man.
BootsBoots wrote:I really wanted to do a guy relieving himself on a cloud ...but I didn't think that would fly.
HAHA! The first thing I thought of when I saw it was I wished he was holding a garden hose in a suggestive manner instead of using a super soaker. :P
Re: The Tall Grass
It doesn't get my vote because of the placement. if you have a gut, low placement on shirts looks ridiculous.
Re: Early Owl, Night Bird
cute!
Re: Roll Reversal
Explain please
Re: April Flowers Bring May Showers
Clever!
Spiritgreen wrote: There's actually a PatrickSpens vibe to this. Quality.
It is a little too close for me. Pretty darn similar in style, color palette and even layout. It shouldn't get rejector or anything, but I have to point it out...
jmig wrote:Explain please
In most role-playing games, you want high numbers on the dice. In this case, the wizard is clearly happy with a "1". Roll (not role) reversal.
JRSly wrote:Can't believe I'm just now 'getting' the concept here. The sasquatch looking out at us. I love it.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that had to have an aha moment. I hope others aren't as slow as I was cause I really like this one.
Got my vote--and my husband's who is a TR fan. :D
excellent work!!!! +1
Re: Revenge of the Hydrant
I saw the title and the dog and totally expected to see the hydrant taking a leak on the dog. It's a good shirt!
Re: Cows vs. Aliens
Six colors on Cranberry. Here's a higher resolution version of the image.
collinvh wrote:I absolutely love the expressions and what a great composition. I'm officially a huge fan of your work. Great job again this week! +1
Thank you for being a fan now I'll have to make a fansite or something. It is really encouraging to get such nice feedback from talented artists.
Re: Scissors, Paper, Rock
I love this shirt! The weapons are all very fitting, the art is great, the theme is dead on... what more can I say? p.s. is the fire supposed to look like a dragon? 'cause it totally does!
Of course there is a tree! Of course I voted for it! I'd totally wear this!
Very nice art, has Sunday comics feel to it. I agree with the others that water would be even better. Reminds me of this: Old Saturday morning cartoon thing
I love that style! +1!
Re: We Call This Sport Olop
I really love the design, but I very much don't care for the color palette. One for two ain't bad.
the rendering on this is what I enjoy most. very well done! gmv!
Nice fire effects you have going on their. I don't mind the occasional rock, paper, scissors reference either.
