Not really, I didn't get it either. It doesn't look like a contact lens, it looks like a big bowl, and it looks like Sauron is getting ready to play 3 card monte or something. This shirt isn't so great.

Write-up is a complete and utter failure. Everyone knows Sam just doesn't talk like that. Period.

Also: Sauren is a Maiar. You can call him a spirit, if you will, but he was only a spirit back before the world was created. I heard that Sauron's eye is really Ben Steins's beach ball.

I know exactly how he feels as I have to wear those nasty hard contacts, too.

I just don't think this shirt works. I had to read the description to get it. And even once I figured out he was looking for his contact lens, I'm still not 100% sure what's going on here. (Like others have said, what's with the squares?)

I also immediately though of the Patrickspens shirt when I saw it (which is not a good thing).

This might be something I'd half expect to win in a derby, but a daily? I am disappoint.

This. I thought "punch bowl. ice. Sauron....what am I missing here?". I didn't get it till I read the write up. The lens is too concave for a contact.

I'm pretty sure Family Guy doesn't have rights to a blatantly obvious joke.

And I'm pretty sure the "ice cubes" are just dust clouds from searching.

I dunno! More LOTR shirts are probably not a bad thing. Everytime I wear my Soulmates shirt I get a lot of great comments. Even "uh, what the hell is that". But it's especially appreciated by the Tolkien fans.

I'm all for more LOTR shirts, but I really prefer mine without a side of ripping off jokes from Family Guy.

Also, regardless of that, I had to read the comments to figure out what the contact lens was which ruins the effectiveness of the joke. It's not a badly done shirt and I'd consider buying it if the joke was more immediately obvious.

family guy rips off so many jokes from everyone... and honestly... do you really think that only someone who saw that 3 second clip from the cartoon really could come up with this idea?

it's pretty safe to say many people could make this joke without the "brilliant" minds who create family guy planting it in their head... and i use the term brilliant loosely...

The title and description on this one are, hands down, the best ever. I want a shirt with the full description on the back!
