Re: Soap Opera

Clever play on words that is so well depicted by the characters playing out their roles on the TV. Great to see what the combined efforts of two solid performers in their own rights on this collaboration. At a guess I'd say walmazan was on the left and expo is the mystery man behind the mask on the right.

Re: Ocarina of Timepieces

Didn't pick this as yours from the detail, but I've come to expect a lot of variety from your output Spiritgreen. Such a distinctive image, and I always like an element of detail or pattern in a good design. It's neat to see none gamers liking it for the music and time pieces, which is another plus.

Re: Open Ocean

Thanks for all the complimentary comments. Glad that people are seeing this as a wearable design and find the detail appealing. That linework always seems to take a lot longer to draw than I expect.

Manvyi wrote:Very nicely and skilfully done - but, personally, I think it's a trifle too square for my taste.

colourcraze wrote:I don't usually like square designs plopped on shirts, but I would wear the crap out of this.

Thank you both for your thoughts. The design uses the whole rectangular print area at a ratio of 4:5, so I think the verticality of the shirt would reduce the squareness you both mentioned. In doing an all over detail design I worked at reducing the blocky look by leaving the edges irregular and slightly rounding the corners, top and bottom. This is easier to see if you click on the detail link in my first post. Additionally the use of a single colour print with plenty of shirt colour showing through should help bed the image on the garment.

Re: Ocarina of Timepieces

I need this shirt!

...But... wait.

Do any of the timepieces pictured... do they happen to have an alarm, or chime, or some sound? And... if so, does that sound sound suspiciously...

...suspiciously like HEY! LISTEN! HEY! WATCH OUT!

'Cause otherwise, I'm buying the shirt.

Re: Ocarina of Timepieces

Also (and this is just my personal opinion) I think that it would have looked better with a larger timepiece where the Triforce would be. Because the first time that I saw it, I was confused about what the golden shape was, because there was no bottom right part of the triangle. However, I like the angle perfectly well; I think this shirt would look better trying to convey a symbol, as opposed to a 3D object.

You are right about the no text, but I see ova on this shirt, which makes it legit.

I agree. The octopus by itself is a stronger design. Or maybe have it reaching for something above, like a swimmer.

Excuse my lack of eloquence, if You would...
I Love the design, and the way it's done.
The way it blends and retains detail; the rusty orange and subtle neutrals...
All of this is great, but it's as if it's just too much for a tee of my taste.

This is a great entry, and I'd certainly wear it, but it isn't quite what I'd go for, opposed to many other entries.

Re: Olfactible Octo-pies (Resub)

Who wouldn't consume a culinary concoction from a cooking cephalopod?

I had to resub because the program I was using did not properly convey the finished product.

FYI, no octopi were harmed in the making of this image. Also, for you more sadistic people, no octopi were helped by making this image, either.

100% octopi neutral.

This is Fantastic. X3
It's got just what one could want in a tee, without assaulting onlookers with an onslaught of sharp detail or a sprawling design.
Attention is centered by the water, so anyone might appreciate it at a glance.
And, of course, it's Adorable, somewhat Humourous. XD
I'd wear one, definitely, and be shocked if it didn't spark some conversation by all sorts of people. ^ ^
