I'm having trouble with the pestle and the broom - and that may just be that my brain isn't equipped to deal with it. I love the look of Baba Yaga herself. How 'bout the hut on the ground to indicate her altitude?

Yeah, here's a suggestion: Print it!
Looks like a character from The Dark Crystal mashed with the witch from Snow white (she scared the bajesus outta me as a child!). Awesomeness!

Really dark, I love it!

also, do her eyes look creepy? should I do them the way I had them before?

Personally, I think the eyes are a little close together. I'd move her right eye out a little. And there's something a little off with her neck. Maybe shave a tiny bit off the back? I'm not sure if that will make it look really long though.

I liked the bubbles on the original outer edges, but I don't know the story, so the darker tone of the second one may fit it better.

I ditched "The Sick Lion" sketch after I saw it was a fable... Worked up a couple more. The first is a Grimm's tale called ""The Crystal Ball". The second is a comic style "Ninja Red Riding hood".

That's a fresh red riding hood design. Nice.

I like the art for the girl and her face is great, but maybe there's a different fairy tale you could use it with...Red and the wolf is kinda overdone.

Any other suggestions? At first I was going to do a more contemporary hat/headgear but then I was thinking it might lose the fairytale reference. Thanks!

Someone needs to do The Nightingale. I think this could be a great shirt. With either the actual bird or the mechanical one in the story.

The Selfish Giant might be an interesting shirt.

"A giant erects a wall to keep children out of his garden, reaping the consequences of a continuous winter. After months of winter with no other seasons in sight, spring suddenly returns when the children slip into a hole in the wall and play in the trees, except for one corner of winter where a little boy is too small to climb into the tree. The giant's heart melts at the sight and, realizing how selfish he's been, he helps the child into the tree. He then tears down the wall and tells the children it was their garden to play in."

Haha I like this one best.

Not a huge fan of the bunny, I think I'd rather just have white in the middle to draw attention there.

I was thinking maybe you could lay some boots next to the box... but then maybe the reference is obvious enough without, I don't remember if I put two and two together before seeing the title or not @_@. Plus that might overly complicate things... In summary, I am useless.

she also had a broom of birch which she uses to sweep away her tracks. In the stories she has a pestle which uses as a pestle but when searching online many of the early illustrations of her excluded the pestle.

Pretty cool Midgerock, though I'm not sure about the "cyber" elements. Cyborg Ya Ya?

ETA2: I think this would look better with a "distressed" look instead of the "faded-retro" look.

I thought of distressing it but recently I've noticed a majority of people aren't really liking the distressing I normally do. I like the distressing myself but trying something different to see what people like.

as to the cyborg feel, that was not intentional. The glowing eyes was more for effect and eerieness.

I keep thinking about the original Little Mermaid tale (HCA, I believe). I have this image in my head of her dancing, and feeling like her feet are being stabbed each time, leaving a trail of blood behind her. But sadly, no artistic talent whatsoever. Also, is anyone else sad that mermaids have no souls and become foam instead? And maybe if they're good, they get to have a soul in a few centuries? I hate making myself sad on Fridays.
