OHFireRescue wrote:I'm not concerned with the pentagram (or not), but do have some reservations about the number of chain ends. An odd number (3) only makes sense if the other end is attached to the moon, and based on the look none of the chains wrap around in what looks like any kind of sense.

The other two just wrap around the moon rather than go down.

Re: Red Revenge

This is hot, it reminds me of Sucker Punch, a movie which got a lot of hate from people who misunderstood it, but a lot of love from the people who can see it for the piece of art it is.

So yeah, you get my vote. And ugh to everyone who will undoubtedly try to bring down the worth of this design simply because your name is on it.

Being a girl who likes shoes, I can't stop staring at her feet. She's either really flat-footed or put her shoes on the wrong feet.

Actually, her legs need to be more slender to fit her frame. Like I mentioned earlier, he clearly went through effort to shape them well..they just need to be much more slender to fit her body. She's got a very slender build and ginormous legs.

awlwren wrote:I love the colors and the texture, and the way you make this work for the original tale as well as the Disney one. Both versions are very dear to me, so I appreciate it.

But I can't ever buy this because of the ship. I don't understand. How do those sails even work? All triangular sails? My professors would laugh me out of the building.

Edit: on third glace, I see that they might actually be square sails, but that configuration and size still don't make sense to me.

Haha, I can understand your concern. I get very hung up on anatomy sometimes when looking at others' work.
The reference illustration for the ship, which I studied very carefully then simplified, did indeed have square sails.

Thanks for the comments, everyone!

I agree. It's distracting, but I think it's even more distracting because of the one specific thing I would change: her legs are too bright. My eyes are led to her legs, rather to her BA face, tattered cloak, and the background wolf. By making the legs brighter than the rest of the piece, it highlights the quick work (not bad work, just not especially "finished" looking) on the shoes and the odd proportions of her legs.

Just my three cents.
