I saw the thumbnail and immediately said to myself, "I know who made that one!" It's great. There is no tree, but the dragon is tree-like... does that count?

It is green, so yea. If you want to pretend it's a tree then go ahead :D Thank you for looking at mah arts, also I like you.

p.s: Your randomly generated avatar is hilarious. What is going on with its...ummm...leg area?

rjlouise wrote:I do know from other "rejects" that woot! is taking a VERY hard line on this derby: faerie tales, not fables (as in Aesop's Tortoise and the Hare), not legends (like Bigfoot and Robin Hood), not novels. They're sticking straight to faerie tales that have been collected from local culture, don't have an overtly stated morals, probably were put in a compendium by some insufferable academics turned heroes (I'm looking at you, Grimms!), and definitely not tales made up in the last couple centuries. They want tales with *history*, thank you!
At least, that's what I can figure (and, I'll admit, part of me agrees with that hard line). Sorry you got rejected. I'm sure the time'll come when you can use this. It's a really nice effect, the purple so close to black that it looks like the Cheshire Cat is disappearing into the shirt. I also lime the eyes, they're pretty darn captivating. Good luck next time!

I get that, but their staffer said that they'd refer to wikipedia. Wikipedia lists this as a fairy tale. I'd just like some clarification.

  • Congratulations on winning a Best Loser Award!
  • This is not SPAM.
  • Winning a BLA does NOT mean this shirt won't print -- I'm hoping it does.
  • Your one and only gift is this crappy little badge in your shirt thread. Enjoy.
  • It was you who picked the pieces up when I was a broken soul and then glued me back together; returned to me what
    others stole.

Wow. Even if it doesn't mean anything, I really appreciate this. It's nice to know that someone enjoys one of my designs and helps in providing motivation for future derby entries. Thank you!

I can't tell if this was intentional or not, as you didn't mention it in your description. . . but this totally looks like a shot from SimTower, complete with 'happy/impatient/furious'-shaded people waiting for the elevator.
